Since this is a recent review, I want to start off by addressing Covid-19 before I blabber on about how amazing CycleBar Culver City is. They have taken literally every precaution they can, including but not limited to: taking their rides outdoors, under tents, with free face shields to those who donât have their own shield or mask. Their sanitation practices between rides is above and beyond. Social distancing is always maintained and they have touch-free check in as well on their app!
Whenever rides are allowed indoors again â their indoor air filtration system is LEGIT. I forget the name of it right now but it kills germs in the air thatâs being cycled throughout the entire studio, not just inside the Cycle Theater.
Whether youâve never been on a stationary bike or whether youâre a cycling pro â CycleBar Culver City is the place for you. The owner and employees are simply the best, most kind, and patient people youâll ever meet! They help all new beginners through everything, which size shoe rental you need (free, by the way!), how to set up your bike, how it should feel when you sit and ride. The instructors are so warm, and inviting and INCLUSIVE of all levels of riders. The playlists NEVER disappoint.
If you like stats and want numbers to be able to push yourself, they have that! If you donât care about it, you can easily cover up your screen or just opt out of being on the leaderboard (which only comes up once or twice, itâs not up throughout the entire class). They also have a class format called "Connect" where it's encouraged to leave your screen off and just ride.
If youâre on the fence, just try it. It canât hurt! Chances are youâll fall in love like I did and never look back. Youâll never feel so free as when youâre on a bike that...
Read moreI adore Cyclebar Culver City! I use to spin somewhere else, and had to take time off from it after injury. When I was well enough to return, I decided to give Cyclebar a try. They are closer to my house and have better package deals. I FELL IN LOVE!
The bikes are so much nicer than other places. If set up properly, you are basically in correct form with very little trying. I've been to other studios where the bikes are outdated, and even when properly set up, you are uncomfortable and focusing on how to BE ON THE BIKE rather than the ride itself.
The instructors are so fun and POSITIVE! They encourage you to achieve and push yourself without ever being a bully or making you feel badly about how you're doing. The ride is all about YOU! It's not about the status of their brand, like other spinning studios. It's all about health: Body, Mind, and Emotion.
I was initially intimidated by the stats screens. I thought it would be competitive, which is something I am NOT ABOUT. It turns out that it's not like that at all. There is no pressure. It's there for people who are in to that sort of thing, and if you aren't you can opt out of it on the Cyclebar app. Oddly enough, after a few classes, I decided I WANTED to be up on the screen. Not to compete with others, but to compete with myself.
The staff are unbelievably polite and helpful. The amenities are on point and generous. Steph, the Franchise Owner, and Joy, the General Manager, are both incrediblely hands on! They know who you are and drop everything to help you when you need it.
THEME RIDES ARE MY FAVORITE! I'll even go to theme rides of musical artists I don't like because the energy in the room is so much fun.
That's a long winded way of saying. I like Cyclebar Culver City. You...
Read moreIâm a rider there everyday and just wanted to state some facts about this place: Staffs are too great. They make everything clear to you and always there to help you even during rides. (I love when they literally always RUN around to help people like bringing shoes, filling up waters, fixing wobbling bikes etc. Minimum wait time! Owner Steph and her team really cares to have all riders safe. I remember myself feeling so proud of them when they first opened back after covid and were spreading masks, gloves, face shields FOR FREE for days for every rider! The covid close down surely hit them super hard financially, but they still covered costs for all those free stuffs. If i were an owner, i would probably just tell riders to bring their own stuffs in order to make my costs minimum..đ€·đ»ââïž They are pretty flexible with everything. I have an unlimited ride monthly membership. When i had an emergency issue for not being able to go there for 2 weeks, Steph managed to postpone my payment for that 2 weeks so I donât loose any money. Thanks Steph for being thoughtful! Instructors are great! Would like to specifically mention Melissa! What makes me like her the most is that she carefully feels every beat of the music and does the movements accordingly which truly motivates me. And Lauren, i love it when you mention names during rides to motivate riders! Lastly, I love their hand sanitizer smell! đ
Hope soon we will be able to ride inside the studio back with our crazy loud music without worrying about noise...
