My review today is more based on the drink rather than service. The service is what you expect service to be, nothing special. I'm not from this area, and choose this place based on "Boba Near Me" and how many reviews this place has. It was surprising how many reviews they have, but they only have it due to a promotion they're offering. "Leave a 5 star review for free toppings on your order" I have no opinion on this as I understand marketing, but it's quite difficult to find a true review if you get what I mean. As someone how works at a boba place, and is a frequent connoisseur... The boba has a good sweetness to it, but is way too firm. Leaving it in some type of warm container/rice cooker might aid to its perfect chew. The grass jelly is way too loose, and lacks of the typical grass jelly flavor. Maybe too much water when making it, or not a good enough temperature to allow it to set. Thai Ice Tea is one of my top favorites, and I know quality Thai tea is quite the process to make- considering that... The Thai tea is fine, but don't compare it to something more authentic as it's more of a lighter taste and different than the usual (Hard to explain the taste of Thai Tea ☺️). I'm happy that they use half-n-half, rather than powder- thus allowing you to see the layers. This place also allows you to change the sweetness to their Thai Ice Tea. Better and more authentic Thai Ice Tea in the duluth area. I'm not from this area, but I still think it's a great place for people to try out boba and take pictures. 😊 I still plan to try out their other locations to see if anything is different.

Was very good, amazing tapioca aroma when you walk in, kind of hard to read the menu, I just wish that they had more milk tea options instead of milk tea latte, quick service despite being very busy, was in a rush to order because the menu on google maps didn’t state everything and wasn’t up to date, others than that AMAZING, as with all boba places I love you, just give us extra extra tapioca and we will gladly come back every day of our lives, kind of flimsy paper straws, sorry for the long review lol 😅. Edit: Btw I think the tapioca is not made from tapioca starch but rather corn starch, almond flour, or flour. Tasted like that anyways, still good just different which I don’t mind Edit 2 months later: I went inside and ordered like usual, people behind me was leaving before they called my name! Turns out someone stole my drink and no one knew, (I did find it a little fishy a group of 3 walked out with 4 drink one of which one was pink like mine, but I didn’t know cuz it was my first time ordering) anyways they happily remade my drink and I was on my way. Edit (5 months later): I go often but I did get my usual, strawberry brown sugar boba with egg pudding and just this time to try I got cream dream, cream dream was ok, not cheesecake like like they say but bitter. Halfway through my drink I realized I didn’t get a single tapioca pearl. I didn’t mind it but just wanted to say please read the entire Oder, like last time I said no ice and they gave me extra, and we were one of the only ones there! Still love u pearls tea, just pay attention

I was visiting from Utah, and love to find new boba tea places to try when I travel. I have to say, this was THE best boba tea I've ever had! I ordered a black milk tea with boba pearls. I was able to customize the sweetness to half sweet, sweetened with honey. I prefer for the bitter tea flavor to come through a bit. I really like that they use organic, natural ingredients. A lot of places I've been to, use powder flavoring/sweetener. I also got the original mochi waffle. It had such an interesting texture that I really liked. Again, a very light sweet flavor to go with your tea. I wish we had more variety like this in Utah! Especially near Ogden. Pearl's tea should definitely look into expanding out west!

Came in at 9:30 PM Friday, March 24th and found the store empty with nothing going on, so I went up to the counter and asked if they were still taking orders as I didn’t want to impose. The girl at the counter (blonde curly hair) rolled her eyes, huffed, and went to the back to mutter to her coworkers something before telling me they were still taking orders. I felt slightly uncomfortable but decided to continue my order while trying to be as polite as possible. Since I also work in a tea shop, I understand the irritation that can come with people that come in last minute, however since it was 30 minutes until closing I figured it’d be alright. I told her my order and asked my family if they wanted anything. She was clearly very annoyed about my family having questions about the menu, and while I was trying to answer my parent’s questions as quickly as I could, she kept interrupting me loudly and in a rude tone to ask if we wanted anything else. This went on a few times until I decided leaving was the best option since I knew they would likely make us poor drinks with the attitude she was displaying. Some kids came in after us and she was also irritated about that. We left before placing our orders because of her horrible attitude and customer service. When I was walking past the store a bit later, I noticed there was plenty of staff there making drinks for the group that had been behind me. They were nowhere to be seen before.

I’ve been a longtime Pearl’s Tea customer but this experience definitely turned me away. I haven’t had the most pleasant experiences at this location lately and the staffing doesn’t seem to care at all about the drink quality or customer service. Previously when this location first opened I had lovely experiences with kind staff. I’m not sure what happened.

It’s not difficult to be kind to people that are being kind and...
