Requested my patient records so I could go to a closer optometrist as I’m no longer local. Sue told me I should just make the yearly trip back to California instead of transferring to a new doctor, as she “has family/kids who do that and it’s no big deal.” Firstly, not everyone has the ability, means, or even desire to do that. I had to explain that it was inconvenient for me—even more so at this very moment because I am having an issue with my Ortho-K lenses. So tell me, who would pay for my round trip? And what would I do if I had an issue needing immediate attention (like I am now)? It was unsolicited advice, as my situation was more than just “needing to renew”—regardless, I shouldn’t even have to explain myself.
Additionally, I requested information about the make and type of lens they use, and I asked her if she could send me that information via email as well. She brushed me off and told me that info was on my patient records. I showed my records to the staff at my local optometrist and they were unable to find that info, so they had to reach out themselves.
The doctors have always been great, so the stars are for them. But I’ve always had difficulty dealing with the front desk, and the incident above has finally compelled me to...
Read moreI had my annual check up on 12/18/2024. The office was so busy and I had waited 40 minutes for my appointment, the test itself was less than 10 minutes. The main purpose of my appointment is to get a prescription so I can get a new pair of glasses for reading or computer. However, the doctor made a mistake which makes me a better vision than last year. I have presbyopia which should not be the case. I had to call the office to ask for a 2nd visit to correct. The manager Sue was very rude and told me it was correct. She said I asked for reading but the prescription is for computer. My vision didn’t change it is the same as last year. In fact, The prescription says “reading” but she ignored what I said and kept talking to prevent me to talk. She just kept going on and on…… until today, I have not able to get my test confirmed or fixed. I could not get my glasses ordered because I don’t have the right prescription.
I didn’t want to leave a bad review as this doesn’t fix the mistake or may harm my daughter’s visit as she is a current patient. But this may help other new patients as we like to pick doctors...
Read moreLast Friday I brought the glasses I received a week before to be repaired. There was an attempt to send me to repair the problem at my expense. I insisted that they must fix the problem for me. I was told that the manager would arrive soon and at 11:00 they would call me. Since they did not contact me until 17:00, I decided to go to the place of business where I was told that I would have to wait a week until the manager arrived because only she decides. I explained to them that until she arrives I won't be able to read, or use a computer or anything close. Unfortunately, there was no one to talk to. I would like to mention that the price of the glasses was the most expensive I have ever seen in my life. . To tell the truth, going to the dollar store was much better than the highest price and...
