EDITED: the past two times we've visited there's been MULTIPLE aggressive dogs! Both times we have brought our girl back home and she's limping from the constant dog piles! Twice now we have seen owners have to help us intervene with keeping their aggressive dog away from ours. It's a shame because before this we didn't have a huge issue with aggressive behavior. Our girl knows to heel when I call and is extremely submissive. Today a couple of dogs were waiting by the entrance ready to get in the faces of every dog that came in. One dog snapped back at the dog that was being too aggressive and finally backed off. We won't be taking our girl here anymore unfortunately and I'm sad we have to find a different park bc this one's been great. Also- the owners of the aggressive dogs never cleaned up their poo after them. A finger wagging should of been given. Another gentleman came out and his dog was getting cornered by those two dogs as well but he stopped the fight as well. He also went and cleaned up a lot of the poo! Thank you stranger.
Gave it four stars because there's a BUNCH of mud. Prepare yourself if you go here with your mutt! Make sure to take them before bath night. It might be better during the summer with dry spells. Also some owners do not pick up after their dogs! Watch your step. Everything else was wonderful. Water bowls everywhere and a faucet to refill them. Plenty of seating and everyone there was really friendly. There's also a few toys out to play with if you don't bring any. I took mine to play and practice bite inhibition and it went so smoothly! Everyone- pets and owners- needed a bath after that though!...
Read moreI don’t think this is a public dog park. I think it might only be for members of the church next door. I took my dogs because it was close by and I live in the neighborhood. I took my older dog a year ago and it was a fun experience for her so thought it would be fun for both my dogs to socialize but as soon as we got through the gate a man started charging towards me and screaming at me to get my dogs away and to read the sign. I was super scared and embarrassed. I feel bad because my young dog has never been to a park before and he was really scared. I quickly releashed my dogs and left.
I didn’t see a sign saying it was private and when I went a year ago it was public so I hope they will add a sign so people don’t make the same mistake I did. I don’t think I’ll come back with my dogs. One because I’m not a member and also because it was a really frightening experience. I cried all the way home I was so shaken and upset. I wouldn’t recommend taking your dog there. It’s not a place where newcomers are...
Read moreMy 2 fur babies love it here. Yes there is dog poo owners don’t pick up which is very annoying but I always avoid those areas. There are lots and lots of big trees for shade and exploring which they love, they even have lots of fans for those hot Texas days. . This property has allot of dirt and little grass but my fur babies love it. The park provides a dog wash area so you can take care of that. I feel very safe at this park. You’re always going to have conflicts with pets going to a free park, all sorts of personalities. Yes the small dog area is very small but at least they have one. If you don’t like it I strongly do not agree in giving a negative review for something free. Just go somewhere else.
If you’re looking for a monitored fake grass turf that’s cleaned up constantly. There are many doggie day care near by you can...
