Warning.!!!! Customers, if they are running a promotion, or selling you a phone, ask questions!! Make sure you ask everything you need to know before purchasing. I went in a few weeks ago to the lovers lane location and was told of a promotion for the new iPhone 17 air. I was told, if you trade your phone in, you’d pay upfront around $70 and then nothing each month. Sounds too good to be true right? Because it was.
They didn’t have anymore phones in stock at the lovers lane location where I was told this, so I head to the location on Lemmon.
I ask the gentleman if they had the iPhone 17 air in stock, he said yes. I told him what I was told at the other store and he affirmed it. So we proceed. I ended up paying $150 upfront for the phone, then he tells me there’s an activation fee. I ask again what I’ll owe each month because on the receipt I saw something about installments. He said I’ll tell you at the end. We waited for the new phone to update, and it was taking a long time, he said I could go home and do it, and just return the old phone within 30 days.
I go back today, and I ask him again, what I will owe each month, he tells me $136. He really didn’t seem to know what he was talking about. I didn’t catch his name, he’s the young black gentlemen. He then proceeded to say that he the credit going towards the new phone was $350. Then he asked if my phone was paid off. Then said the credit could actually be $850. He then told me he wasn’t sure, went and asked a co worker. Came back and said that I would get the larger credit, and the $136 included the activation fee. I asked again. How much am I paying a month? And he said $95. I expressed how misleading the promotion is, and how I felt deceived. He didn’t apologize once or shoe any sympathy. He said it could be less than $95 or $80, and told me he wouldn’t have a clear answer.
I’m upset because I was told something that was not true at all, and that was the only reason I bought a new phone. So everyone! Please make sure they are very clear with you before purchasing anything! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
After reading similar reviews just like mine, seems like they really want a sale more than to have good character and help you. This is why people get a bad taste in their mouths about sales. Sales is supposed to be you educating the customer and telling them why it’s in their best interest to buy and let them decide ! Not holding information back and false...
Read moreWorst experience I’ve had dealing with AT&T. Went in to do a simple upgrade of my phone. Waited for 40 min and was finally helped, guy was by himself so I was cool waiting since his manager was at lunch. Manager named Damian came to help me and told me I would get $830 in credits, accepted my phone for trade in, and sold me the new phone without any issues. Told me to come drop off the trade in when it’s done transferring my info.
I come back the next day to drop my old phone off and another rep tells me I’m getting only $320 in credits and kept repeating “I don’t know what he told you” over and over again.
Manager finally came out and said he misquoted me and either I’m gonna have to return it or go to corporate store cause they could do more for me. So I go to a corporate store and they said there is nothing they can do about a misquote and they are well aware of the manager of this store and it is not the first time they’ve had issues with him. I go back to the original store and the manager says he was able to honor the $830 after having me go back and forth.
Obviously the whole thing didn’t feel right and felt shady, I get a notification showing that he added Next Up and a phone protection plan to my bull WITHOUT MY CONSENT. So on top of the whole misquote, making me take multiple trips to his store, saying he couldn’t do nothing for me and then magically can, he added an additional $27 worth of monthly charges to my bill without asking me.
Damian, the manager of this AT&T store needs to be held accountable for being deceitful. My advice best if you don’t go to this store or any AT&T that isn’t a...
Read moreWent in this evening to change our service plan and upgrade our phones. The reps were all busy but friendly. We looked at some phones and waited our turn. We worked with Miriam Jimenez. Out of this world service! Spent almost 2 hours with us, answered all my husbands endless questions, she was patient, kind, knowledgeable, professional, personable and just overall a pleasure to work with. We went to the store on Mockingbird in Dallas the day before and the guy was so rude and even though we had masks on he kept backing away and my husband just set his water bottle down and he was like no sir! We went in about 5:50pm and the store closed at 6. We didn’t know it closed at 6, the website said 7. Anyhoo, he was a real jerk, I realize it was late and they were about to close but come on you don’t have to be that rude! Anyways it was good we left because we came to this Lemmon location and it was 1,000 times a better experience and we left happy and satisfied and felt like Miriam actually cared about us. She actually works at the Sylvan West Dallas location. The Lemmon store is convenient for us but we would make the trip to the Sylvan location! The Lemmon location was clean and big enough to social distance and the...
