Every single time I visit this location, I receive horrible customer service. I have been followed around, but offered no help. And tonight did it for me. I’m done with this location. The website and the app have certain Nyx products at 30% off. So I went in, found said product, and went to the register. It rang up at a higher amount. She told me that it was online only. I explained that the website does not say online only. She then gets on her walkie talkie and asks if online only specials are different than in-store. I reiterate that it is NOT online only, she offers nothing to help me. Feeling very offput by this, and quite frankly, fed up with the lack of “customer service” I have received at this location, I leave and call into Customer Service, where I am told unless the website says “ONLINE ONLY,” it is honored in store. I am also told that if it is NOT something that can be offered in-store, they can do a store-to-door order so that the discount is received, and shipping is waived. HOW HARD IS IT TO DO YOUR FREAKING JOB??? People wonder why everything is going online, why automation is taking over, and why jobs are slowly dropping in the retail environment. IDIOTS LIKE THIS are exactly why. You literally told me that you could do NOTHING to help generate revenue at the store YOU WORK AT, and wanted me to go ONLINE for a product that would’ve helped YOUR PRODUCTION NUMBERS. Congratulations, Ulta. You’ve lost a very long-term customer. I will take my business to a company that WANTS to sell me things being that it’s a RETAIL STORE. As a millennial, this entire generation’s work ethic, or lack-thereof, is EMBARRASSING. You guys want to keep fighting for $15, keep fighting for free things, but you can’t even handle doing your...
Read moreThis is a complaint about a store associate Brittany. I understand that I had many returns and exchanges already, but I initially told her and laid out for her all the exchanges I was making. I specifically stated, "this [Smashbox foundation] and this [It Cosmetics brush] and this [NYX lipstick suede] are exchanges, and these are the only returns [two NYC matte lipsticks]." She went on to do whatever she did, and after she gave me the first credit of seventy-nine something dollars, I had told her it was supposed to be an exchange because now I have to wait some business days to get that money back to my account, and then purchase it again at a later time. She gave me the nastiest attitude from then on. I understand that they were all on different receipts, but I didn't mind waiting to do them one by one. She didn't. She wanted everything done all at once, and her bad attitude infuriated me. Also, another employee had the nerve to say, "this is taking longer than I thought." Well, I wonder why. I'm not one to express poor attitude, and I wasn't. I calmly explained what I wanted to do. I wouldn't have minded spending almost an hour for an exchange and a return, but her unkind and super unprofessional demeanor is what got me. I may be young and that's why she felt she could intimidate me, but in the retail world, customers are priority, no matter the gender or age. Losing patience, I just left everything the way she wanted and let her do her thing. I've never been so mistreated and I've always had a soft heart for Ulta, but I think for now I'd rather shop at Sephora where they would absolutely go above and beyond for customers' satisfaction. I'm sorry, but it only takes one really bad experience to shoo...
Read moreLove Love Love this location. The workers there are always friendly. Always greet me when I enter. Always willing to offer advice or answer any questions I may have. This location is 5 minutes away from my job so I stop by here atleast 3 times per week.
HOWEVER the security guard (1 in particular) makes shopping there extremely uncomfortable. If you’re black then he will follow you around the store. Whenever you arrive he is standing at the front door and doesn’t move, but as soon as I (a person of color) walks in you will not find him at the front of the store. He will be pacing back and forth down every isle you are on. So today LMAO I saw that he was working, so I gathered my daughter (20) and my husband and told them the situation. I told them we are going to go in and separate on 3 corners of the store to see what happens. OMG it was HILARIOUS watching him try to keep up with the 3 of us. I promise I’ve never seen him walk so fast in all the days he’s been following me around.
So from what I have gathered, there is only 2 security guards that work the closing shift (tall dark skin with a low haircut, and a short 5’2 brown skin with locs). Only 1 actually follows people of color around (Mr. 5’2). The tall security guard is extremely nice and always greets me upon my entrance and exit. He has never followed me around the store unlike the other.
With that being said, if you are a POC beware. & if you want to shop in peace then I suggest you find another Ulta or go on the days Shorty Duwop isn’t...
