Coral Diving Club — Attraction in Dania Beach

Getting my Open Dive certification earlier this month (February 2023) at Coral Diving Club in Dania Beach, Florida was an excellent experience. Since I was only in Florida for a limited period of time, I needed to make this work with my schedule. The staff were every attentive and communicative, and worked with me to arrange the training. Luckily they were able to get a second student at the same time so I had a dive buddy who was learning along with me (and reduced the cost of my training). Coral Diving Club is conveniently located between Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood. It has a training pool on the premises which simplifies logistics. My instructor, Lin, was patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. He made the experience so much more enjoyable, especially underwater. Driving through south Florida, I was struck by the number of dive shops. I'm sure many of them are very good. But you cannot go wrong with Coral Diving Club....

This week my partner and I rented 2 full sets of diving gear and a flag from Coral Diving Club. The gear was really well maintained and clean. The experience and price was amazing! The staff was incredibly helpful and gave some great recommendations on other sites nearby. We ended up going to Lauderdale By The Sea because of the staff's recommendation and it was a great shore dive. (We saw 2 sharks!) I had a terrible experience with this scuba diving club. After paying, they demanded more money once training started. I was left waiting by the pool for an entire afternoon while the coach prioritized teaching a girl he met at a bar. When I asked for a refund due to receiving no training, the leader, who was unprofessional and dismissive, refused. My friend also had to pay unexpected additional fees.
