We won a Lladro "Around the World" porcelain from Akiba Auction on Liveauctioneers. After the auction Akiba changed the shipping terms & refused to ship the porcelain In-house which increased costs 3X. We cancelled the sale then purchased the figurine elsewhere.

Response to Akiba: We posted this review due to LiveAuctioneers removing our original review posted immediately after your kerfuffle. We read the terms & obtained a quote from Akiba for shipping. I would not bid with them via Live Auctioneer. They will accept the same bid amount either through other platforms, absentee or by phone and these will trump the bid via Live Auctioneer. I was the listed leader and a lot and someone else won the lot with the same bid, no notification. Asked the auction house about and got this reponse ( see below ). Basically if a tie occurs, the auction house at their discretion, will pick the winner and it must not be Live Auctioneer bidders...
