Terrible Experience with ModdedZone - Waste of $544.61

I spent $544.61 on a custom PS5 Edge controller from ModdedZone, and it has been a complete disaster. I ordered the controller on April 19th, received it on April 24th, and by May 28th, it was already malfunctioning. That’s barely over a month of use before it became unusable.

While playing Call of Duty, my controller suddenly caused my character’s aim to go straight up towards the sky, and I couldn’t control it at all. I tested another controller to make sure it wasn’t a game issue, and the problem did not occur with the other controller. This confirmed that the fault was with the ModdedZone controller.

I emailed their support, explaining the issue: “Yesterday, while playing Call of Duty, my controller started causing my character’s aim to go straight up towards the sky, and I couldn’t control it. When I plugged in another controller, the issue did not occur. Is there any troubleshooting I can do, or do I need to send the controller to you for repair? There is no visible damage to the controller, and I have never dropped it. I purchased it recently, on April 19, 2024, and received it on April 24, 2024. I hadn’t experienced any issues with it until yesterday afternoon, when it started automatically directing my aim upwards, even when I wasn’t in a fight. This happens while walking or running, with the right analog stick moving straight up without any input.”

To make matters worse, I had to send the controller in for repair. Now, I’m stuck without my $544.61 controller and am forced to use an old, faulty controller in the meantime. The whole situation has been incredibly frustrating.

Given the high price point, I expected much better quality and customer service. I feel like I’ve been ripped off, and I would not recommend ModdedZone to anyone. Save your money and buy from a more reputable company that stands behind their products.

I’m writing to express my frustration with the controller even after the repair service. Despite sending it in for service and waiting for the repair, the controller is still experiencing the same exact issue.

This ongoing problem is incredibly frustrating, especially after spending $544.61 on what I thought would be a top-quality custom controller. I understand that stick drift can be a common issue with controllers, but this is not normal stick drift. It appears to be a connection issue with the right analog stick socket on the Edge controller. The issue persists even if I switch the left analog stick with the right analog stick, so I know it’s not stick drift.

I expected much better reliability and support for such an expensive product. I hope this issue can be resolved promptly, as this experience has been highly disappointing.

What an amazing controller! I love the black and gold accents with the PS1 logo button, but the highlight is the rear programmable paddles. They look and feel the same as other companies like ExtremeRate(maybe the same hardware) but the customization available with the Titan chip and TitanOS is on a different level.

I'll boil down the main differences here On other controllers, the only option I have seen is to remap the paddle to another button. On the ModdedZone controller, not only can you assign the paddle to a button click, it can also do dual clicks(eg: clicking P1 - X and O together) but you can also have other actions like Turbo, dual button clicks with delay, enabling mods and so on. There are so many options and good documentation right in the app to help. You can remap or enable mods on ANY BUTTON. This is truly unique because most controllers only allow mods on the additional buttons. Truly remarkable due to TitanOS Mods. So many mods. That too, specific to games or actions. I don't play FPS nor shooters so it isn't as useful to me but this is THE controller for anyone who does. Hall effect joysticks: no more drift. Period. MZ Titan app connects to the controller 100% of the time. I'm an app developer and it sucks when the app doesn't connect to or find the device. It is a common issue with using Bluetooth LE connections. But this one connects everytime. Just ensure Bluetooth and location are turned on. You can buy mods later through the app. Especially if you don't know which one you want, just get the controller with Titan chip and buy the mods later. Easy

I want to add two small cons which aren't a big deal but still want to mention. You can't remap buttons directly from the controller. You need to use the app. This is possible on other controllers which look similar because they aren't running TitanOS. The middle button on the Ultimate paddles is just a placeholder and doesn't do anything. If you get the controller with the Ultimate Paddles(and you ABSOLUTELY should), you need to adjust your grip and get used to it. Especially if you have large hands, you might end up clicking the P1 and P2 buttons by accident.

TLDR: BUY IT. I have 11 controllers of different brands(Gulikit, PS, Xbox, different variants of AliExpress Joycons with macro buttons, etc etc) but this is the best one. And make sure to get Hall effect joysticks and the...

DONT BUY A CONTROLLER FROM THIS PLACE!! THE ONLY CHANCE I HAVE OF TAKING YOU OUT FIRST IS IF I HAVE THE MODDED ZONE CONTROLLER AND YOU DONT. YOU ARE PROBABLY ALREADY BETTER THEN ME ANYWAY. YOU DONT WANT TO PLAY BETTER.....RIGHT? all kidding aside. If you want to improve your kd ratio, lead your quads in kills, and just plain go beast mode you've got to have this controller. They will accommodate any budget. Plus, there customer service is amazing. They spend whatever time you need with your new controller if you need them. You probably don't if your under 40 but I'm 63 and I'm new to fps gaming. But if you do need them for anything they are always ready to help. They stand behind this product 100% connecting it is so easy. No more dead and trigger sequences to add something to your controller. Just open the app on your phone select what you want and your of and playing. Folks, if your playing without a MODDED ZONE controller. You'll simply never reach your potential in fps gaming BUT FORGET EVERYTHING I SAID... DON'T GO TO THEIR WEBSITE AND SNOOP AROUND. THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE.
