First Watch in Dania Beach, Florida, offers a refreshing take on the traditional breakfast and brunch scene, providing a delightful dining experience that seamlessly combines health-conscious dining with indulgent choices. Here is a detailed review based on my personal experience at this popular spot.
Ambiance Located conveniently in Dania Beach, the ambiance at First Watch is warm and inviting. The interior decor is characterized by a clean, modern aesthetic with a touch of rustic charm that includes wooden accents and natural light flooding in through large windows. The atmosphere is casual yet buzzing, perfect for a leisurely weekend brunch or a quick weekday breakfast. Tables are spaced adequately, ensuring privacy while maintaining a lively dining environment. The cleanliness is impeccable, reflecting the brand's commitment to providing a comfortable and welcoming space.
Service Service at First Watch is where the restaurant truly shines. On my visit, the staff was exceptionally welcoming, with a hostess who greeted us with a friendly smile and promptly seated us despite the busy morning. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and happy to provide recommendations. What impressed me most was the swift and attentive service. Our coffee cups were never empty, and our food arrived quickly, despite the apparent rush.
Menu and Food First Watch is known for its creative menu and commitment to fresh ingredients, and it certainly did not disappoint. The menu offers a variety of dishes catering to both traditional and innovative tastes, with a significant emphasis on fresh, health-oriented options.
I started with the Million Dollar Bacon, a house specialty. This dish featured four slices of thick-cut bacon baked with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne, and a maple syrup drizzle. It was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, setting a high bar for the rest of the meal.
For my main course, I chose the Chickichanga, a whimsical take on the traditional chimichanga. This dish was packed with whipped eggs, spicy chicken, chorizo, green chilies, cheddar, and Monterey Jack, rolled in a flour tortilla and topped with Vera Cruz sauce and sour cream. It was served with a side of fresh fruit which was ripe and sweet, providing a refreshing counterbalance to the rich, savory flavors of the Chickichanga.
My dining companion opted for the healthier Avocado Toast, a popular choice at First Watch. This dish was beautifully presented on thick-cut whole grain toast, layered with fresh smashed avocado, EVOO, lemon, and Maldon sea salt, topped with two basted eggs. It was simple yet delicious, showcasing the quality of the ingredients.
Beverages No brunch is complete without a good selection of beverages, and First Watch excels here as well. I enjoyed a freshly squeezed orange juice, which was vibrant and full of flavor, alongside a well-crafted cappuccino. The coffee was robust, providing a perfect pick-me-up for the morning.

Read moreI'm editing my review. The first review follows. This was not a good experience to. Too crowded and too long a wait. The worst part was my food. I ordered eggs, over medium, greens, toast, and turkey sausage. There were four of us. Two orders came out first and then we had to wait for a little while for our other two orders. Mine was in the second round. The eggs were so loose and runny I had to send them back. They only took the eggs. I finished my greens and sausage before the new eggs came back. The toast was cold. Then the second set of eggs was just as bad as the first. Shimmy, runny, and uncooked parts of the whites. Needless to say isn't was so late I didn't get my eggs. The service was not good. We had Kelli (with an i). She really didn't seem to care and just said sorry. She never smiled once the whole meal. When she was pouring the coffee, the guest who got decaf complained it was not hot. She stopped in the middle of pouring the regular coffees and left. We think to take care of it. She came back so.etime later to finish pouring our coffee and never mentioned if there was a new pot brewing for the decaf. There was eventually. My guests go there all the time. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Today was terrible. It's hit or miss at this location. So from 5 stars to three. Maybe it should be less since I left hungry and nobody seemed to care.
This was my first time at First Watch. It was a great food experience. We came in at 12:30pm. I had the traditional breakfast. Two eggs over medium, ham slice, hash brown potatoes, and toast. It was so good! The hash browned potatoes were the best I've had anywhere in a very long time. Just the right amount of crispy and not oily at all. The ham was great! Loved the bread too. I can recommend this place enough. Go go go. The service was good, I just like more personality like they are truly enjoying it. Our server was just going through...
Read moreServer was very polite but whole restaurant was in the weeds. Each server had tables inside and outside. This caused a huge lack of service to all of us that were on the patio. Food was served 40 min after we arrived...20 minutes after we ordered. Asked for Doughnuts to come out after the meals were served and server completely forgot to put them in and tried to drop the check until we reminded him. Doughnuts were all grease like the batter was too warm when it was fried. All in all the experience here as well as poor service and food at the Ft. Myers the last 3 times we were there has caused us to give up on First Watch. Both locations you never saw a manager making table visits or helping the servers...even for recooks. It seems to be that there is a lack of service due to cuts in size of staff as well as Manager spending all there time in the back of the house. Its really sad that a huge corporation like this that charges top dollar for their food and drinks...which are worth the money when cooked and served correctly prepared and in a timely manner. Refuses to spend money on the labor to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. Im sure there is a timeliness in which they are supposed to follow as far as table greets and times on serving food and drinks which due to lack of management presence is impossible to do. If you don't mind waiting long times for drinks and food that may or not be served correctly this is a place for you. There is definitely no sense of urgency by any of the staff with the exception of the gentleman running the front door who was greeting guests...cleaning tables as well as handling togos. If they had more employees like him they would be doing a...
