Charming and Delightfully Unexpected!

I visited the Great American Dollhouse Museum today with my 11 year old son. We had the BEST time! He thought he was going to be bored but he ended up being delighted with all of the details in all of the exhibits as was I! There is a section on American History, a few towns put together with amazing Houses and even a section with Dragons, Trolls and Fairies! I even heard that they will have an 8ft Castle on Display! I can't wait to go back and see it all again so that I can find more details I may have missed the first time! One of the best aspects of the place is that there is a shop where one can buy anything doll house or miniatures related in person! That is so rare!! WORTH the Trip even if you have any kind of interest in hand made things, antiques...

This place was so amazing!!!!! It's was very affordable from ticket price to being able to afford a little somthing from the shop for the kiddos... it is unique and engaging for all ages... I had two adults a impatient 8yr old and a typical moody preteen and they loved it and didn't want to leave.. there was picture eye spy pages available to help keep the little one engaged and a more challenging one with written clues for the older one and so many amazing displays to look at that we somehow stayed lost in a miniature world for 2 or more hours... plus they are still a work in progress which made it to where as we left the girls decided this is somthing they want to do as a ever summer tradition now! 😀 can't wait to see what is...

My husband and I have always been interested in miniature model making and RR exhibits, so decided to stop here to see what they had. It’s a really cool museum. The exhibits are set up very well, making both sides of each house visible. Most of the doll houses were very done well with a lot of attention to detail. Many were themed. Our favorite part was the fantasy area with trolls and a dragon cave. Wish they had more of that kind of thing! We spent our driving time over the next couple days of our road trip talking about the fantasy scene (including a miniature castle, medieval village, and dragon cave) that we’d like to design and make some day. The attendant (the owner?)...

My husband and I went to the dollhouse museum because it seemed like a quirky, interesting thing to do(yes, my husband is a really good sport, but we do love opportunities to make fun of things). We ended up spending more than 2 hours scouring the exhibits, taking pictures, and talking about how amazing the dollhouses are. The detail is insane! You will not regret going. Older kids might like it, but it's really not a place for the little ones...they really won't be able to appreciate it, and the exhibits are set up higher than they will be able to see. Make sure to do the scavenger hunt...not easy, but fun. I definitely recommend!

My wife loves doll houses so much, we bought one of our real homes soley because it looked exactly like her doll house. She was really looking forward to visiting the Great American Dollhouse Museum and it did not disappoint! She purchased many miniature furniture peices in the gift shop and spent over an hour browsing the museum. I was also very impressed with the level of detail and craftsmanship that went into construction of all the various types of displays. It was a walk through time viewing the different cultures and eras depicted in the doll house museum. Very cool and recommended top attraction when visiting Danville KY
