I don't usually post bad reviews of local businesses, but I feel compelled to write this one. I have eaten here four different times and it has been mediocre 3/4 times, but my most recent experience that prompted this review was just outright awful. (Saturday, 9/20 at about 6pm)
It wasn't too busy. There were maybe 3 other occupied tables and maybe 4 patrons at the bar. We seated ourselves right by the bar, and then waited 10 minutes or so to be acknowledged by a server. That was only after someone who looked like a manager or owner noticed us sitting without drinks or anything, and despite the fact that there were several people behind the bar and going in and out of the kitchen. On the bright side, the drinks came out quickly enough after that.
We decided to start with the elote fries, since we had ordered them previously and really liked them. Unfortunately, when they made it out to the table, the fries were cold and mushy and the toppings were barely lukewarm. They were inedible. I hate causing a ruckus in restaurants, so we then sat there hoping to be able to surreptitiously get the attention of our server for a decent amount of time, but it truly seemed like the only table she had that mattered was the party of three outside. I finally got her attention, and they were remade for us, but it was a hassle. I think we probably would have left if we hadn't already put in our entree orders.
We both ordered masala burgers. My girlfriend got fries as her side, and I ordered onion rings. Since I have had the masala burger here before and was underwhelmed (good burger, not enough masala), I asked for extra masala sauce. When the food came out, I got fries instead of the onion rings I ordered, and I didn't get the extra sauce until I was halfway through my burger. I know that I could have said something and had the order corrected, but I had worked 12 hours that day and I was tired and starving.
Add to that the fact that there were two groups of customers who kept dueling with the volume of the two TVs over the bar on different football games, and I just wanted to get out of there. The TVs were so loud that we couldn't carry on a conversation, even halfway yelling at each other.
We ate as quickly as possible, I paid (and even tipped a decent amount), and we booked it. As I said at the beginning of this review, I have given this establishment multiple chances. I want to like it there. It is apparently well liked by many in the community. But the only halfway decent experience I have had there was on a Thursday at around 2pm as the only customer...
Read moreI really wanted to give 5 stars. Just a couple of criticisms. It was our first time there, so when we walked in, we didn't know if we should just be seated or wait. It's very casual, so we just seated ourselves. We were then greeted and given menus and gave our drink orders. I tried the orange cream cider, which was very good, but without a drink list, I wasn't sure about pricing or ABV. The food came out pretty quickly after we ordered. My friend had the wings and really liked them. He didn't finish the order because they were very meaty. The Buffalo sauce was just the right amount of heat. The fries were some of the best ever. I had chicken Tikka Masala, which was also delicious. Whatever piece of tortilla(?) you stuck in my foil pan (which is what the meals are served in) was definitely not naan in anyone's imagination. I was told that the owner was of Indian descent, so I would expect something more authentic. It was a big portion and I took home about a third of it. I got a side salad that was buried in cheese, but it was fresh with homemade blue cheese dressing. All-in-all, it was a good experience, and I'll look forward to our next visit and try other...
Read moreOn Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm, my friends and I had lunch here and it wasn't good. It wasn't busy. There were a few people at the bar, but nobody else was sitting at any tables. We placed our order with the server, and waited almost 30 minutes for our food. I could understand if the place was busy, but it was not. I ordered the grilled fish tacos and they were not worth the money. There was barely any fish, the tortilla wasn't warmed up on the grill and the tacos had no flavor. My friend thought her chicken sandwich was okay, but loved the fries. Her granddaughter did not like the fajita chicken tacos and we both thought there was something wrong with the salsa – it tasted off. The place is NOT worth your time or money unless you want a drink...
