Bluegrass Pizza and Pub — Restaurant in Danville

As usual, we brought our out if town friend to the Pub on Friday night. Waited in line for about 15 minutes. Several people came in at one time. After being seated a young waitress came to take our drink order. I asked her what she woukd recommend between to house drinks. Shexwas under age and couldn't answer the question and went and got another (much older waitress) She took our drink order as there were 4 of us. The waitress comes back to the table and says they don't have my drink what else woukd I like. So I went with my second choice only yo find out they were not making that one either. So I settled for my usual LIT. After about 15 minutes the waitress comes back to our table and takes our appetizer order telling us our drinks should be ready. Another 15 minutes went by, drinks came out. As we were sipping on our drinks we all commented on how terrible they taste and there was NO ALCOHOL in our drinks. None of them. So we started tasting each other's drinks. ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL in the drinks. 20 minutes later our appetizer comes out and I mention this to our waiter, who informs us they had workers call in and they are short of help in the kitchen and in the floor AND it's the owner who is bartending. The waitress said she comes in to help out her ex daughter in law. The waitress asked us if we would like the bartender to fix us another drink or would we like a soda. One person went with soda. The rest of us stayed with out alcohol free drinks as it was mostly soda anyway which wasn't bad. The waitress said she would take it off our bill. 15 minutes later she comes back to our table to bring the one did and continues to appologize for the wait on out food and says our pizzas just went in the oven and it will only be like 10 minutes. I commented nicely and said, our pizzas just went in the oven? She said yes and it won't be long. Throughout the next 25 minutes she checked on us a few times. 1 1/2 hours to get our pizza and they were over cooked and our pepperoni pizza had 1 some slices had 2 pepperonis on them. The other pizza was the same and it had banana peppers with 1 pepper on each slice. We ate it anyway and our bill was $116 dollars. She didn't take off our drinks as promised. I would like to express my feelings about our recent visit to your establishment, without putting it out there for the world to see. We are new to the area and were intrigued by your place. So we drove about an hour to come see. When we arrived, there were several large groups since it was graduation time. You had 1 waitress. She was very overwhelmed, but doing her best. I saw 3 other employees the whole time we were there. Had to wait awhile before being greeted and seated. Had to wait awhile for everything. The tables were hardly being bussed and the waitress was doing it. In fact, she was doing everything. This was a very busy day for your restaurant. Where was management? Where were owners? There was no toilet paper or soap. I'm sure the waitress couldn't possibly be the one in charge of that also. Our bill was atrocious. 91 for a pizza and 4 drinks and 10 wings. The menu says 2 dollars a topping. We were charged 4. All I'm saying is ... do better. Someone needed to get there to help. We were not the only table waiting. A big shout out to Riley who was rocking it the best she could. And stop nickel and diming your customers. 75 for buffalo sauce and 75 for ranch for 10 wings at 14.99. Come on. We just wanted hot wings. And i have never paid for ranch with wings. So weird and very greedy of you. Just do better. This place could definitely use a little attention to some details. Started well, as we were seated immediately and the atmosphere was interesting. Went down hill quickly however. We were asked for our drink order twice by the same server and once by another and still waited for three waters. We ordered a 10" main line pizza that was advertised to have 4 lbs of ingredients. It came with far less than that and we received no plates. We asked for plates and extra napkins and were told they would be right out. Then the server promptly grabbed a rag and went to wipe down another table, completely ignoring what we had just requested. I approached another server for the same thing. We then received wrapped silverware, which we already had and no plates. When the plates finally arrived the pizza was cold and soggy. I spoke to the server about our feelings on the pizza and was offered bread sticks as a consolation. We agreed and after being told the bread sticks would be several minutes we sat with empty glasses. My wife had to go to the bar to get her own drink refill. When the "free" bread sticks finally arrived they were not fully cooked and cold. The server than stated that's how their bread sticks were. The service at this establishment was some of the worst I have seen. We were only offered drink refills after we displayed our dissatisfaction. Although the server attempted to rectify the situation their efforts fell way short. Do not dine at this restaurant, save you money and order...
