Reading some of these Reviews; I felt the need to Comment, as we go here quite frequently... The Venue has a set of Rules in Place that apply to ALL; period. Some comments mention bringing in Water/Drinks, one even said she couldn't bring in a Baby Bottle..? CORRECT NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES -Right on the Front Door- However the baby bottle situation I find odd; as I have been to this venue w/ a infant baby (& kids 6-12) & I highly doubt the personnel wouldn't accommodate in an appropriate instance... Be realistic people your walking yelling 2y/o don't need a Bottle..! LoL Anyways we started going here after one of the kids went to their friends b-day party here... The kids enjoyed SKATING so much we have our own skates & go all the time now; and have thrown Several of the kids B-Day Parties here... I don't care what anyone says; the staff has always been polite & on par anytime we have had a Kids B-day there... And I don't care if the staff is young & grumpy like some (be real some customers can just be picky A-Holes) may say; at least these kids are given a venue of employment to be at & keep out of trouble..!!! I commend the venue for always hiring local kids and being so welcoming of YOUTH EMPLOYMENT and I really wish MORE VENUES did such a thing in giving kids a chance...
A lot of people who complain are rather petty in their complaint if you really read them -vs- actually being a known Regular at the Venue; which let me tell you there is a lot of Family Regulars that frequent here... Any complaints about the Costs to enter the building is really based on what time of the Day/Week you go as every day of the Month can be one theme or another; but the schedule is mostly consistent... Also even though we are Grown adults Reviewing a SKATING RINK it really is a Kids/Family Venue; its not your local Nightclub/Bar and it never will be because it is a venue to Roller Skate at...
Which Brings me to VALUE; if you take you and your lady out for a couple drinks each & a small bite to eat at a Nice Dining Venue out you will likely spend $50+ easy... For the same $50 you can take a Family of 5 (+ Skate Rental Fee depending on Time/Day) out here for Several Hours on end; granted we all have our own skates because we go so much... The online Monthly Calendar is usually pretty clear about the Days events for the Month and the Costs of Entry and what times what happens like when the Explicit Music Times begin & entrance/rental fees... Again we have done Several of the kids b-day's here and we find it well worth our money every time we do it..!
5-STAR...
Read moreWe wanted to go ice skating but there were no skates that could fit on my 14 year old. We then decided to call around to local roller skating places. We found Galaxy rink. They told us on the phone the had sizes up 16. We were happy they had his size so we drove 45 mins to the rink. The price was a little higher than any roller rink I have ever been to. They take your money out front. I had my sons two best friends with us. So I ended up paying $80.00. Once we got in they told us there is an extra charge for inline skates. 5.00 each. So I paid for that too. (Now I am at 95.00) it’s worth it if it makes the kiddos happy. When we took the ticket to the skate rental counter they informed us the inline skates only go up to size 12. My son asked for the 5.00 back and they said no. His friends skates didn’t fit well either but we were going to just deal with it. My 14 year old started to feel upset and nauseous over the whole situation. He knows I spent $95 and he can’t even skate. He then wanted to sit in the car and just get our money back. The rude management team refused to give any money back. The kids did not even enter the rink. They made it as far as the counter. After the management refused to refund the kid, I went in and asked for a refund for one kid. He was going to wait in the car. It was sad that one kid would have to sit in the parking lot. They refused to give a refund. I told the manager we would need to dispute the charge. We never received services. He got really really mean and rude. I asked him why he is such a mean rude person. He didn’t seem to care or have any empathy. At that point we all decided to leave. We never got to enjoy the place. What a waste of time and 95.00. If someone from this establishment is willing to refund my money I’ll modify this review and stop the credit card dispute. It is the right thing to do. I don’t understand how a place could treat people that way. Please do the right thing to avoid a back and forth battle with the credit card company and a potential trip small claims court. In my option it’s not worth the battle. Contact me and we will all be...
Read moreSooo my 6yr old daughter went there on a field trip, not not knowing that the summer camp that she goes to. Do not monitor the kids as they are going to purchase things from the counter. With that being said, my daughter took 2 $5 bills up to the counter and ask for one of those sugar bottle candy top thingies. Just for whoever to not give her back any change. I called on June 21 around 540 and was explaining the situation to someone named Kathy. I explain to her what was going on, and that my daughter did not have changed which I was not expecting any of my change that because it’s gonna be hard to tell I was just giving her a heads up. Kathy Dan turns around and tells me will my six year old granddaughter knows how to count her money. I think her making that statement was very uncalled for as if she was trying to insinuate that because her granddaughter is six and my daughter is six because her daughter can manage money. That was my daughters fault that she could not manage her money. I would think that if a child comes to your business that your employees wouldn’t be honest and give kids back the right amount of change. Even if the kid walks away, you should try to get that kid back there a change if you can. Kathy was very rude and kept trying to insinuate that her employees would not do no such of a thing because they’re in an adult well guess what they did take my daughter change and did not give it back because I doubt very seriously if that bottle cost it $10, and even if it was only under five dollars, they should’ve gave her her other five dollar back. I find that very hard to believe that you let them give my daughter give them two dollars just to not give her any change back from that little item so I will not Ever come to the...
