Recently last month I went here with my husband to purchase a firearm. We were at the gun counter for 30mins and seemed like no one wanted to help us. Once I got into the queue an employee named Zack came over and told me that the gun I wanted was out of stock and that I can go online and order it. We live an hour and 40 mins away from this bass and pro shop. So I ordered the gun and when we got back from vacation, we drove down on Monday 12/2/24 to pick it up. When we got there at 7:40pm and jumped right into queue. 8:20 rolls around as we are sitting there waiting and the same employee Zack comes up and tells us that he is the only one working today and that someone called out and that he may not get to us tonight because I had 2ppm ahead of me. We still decided to wait to see. So the people in front of me did not show up and that bumped me up to next in queue. By this time it’s 8:30pm. As he is assisting the customer before me. He stops and walks over again to tell me that even if he is able to get to me, the background check won’t get done tonight. I felt like he really wasn’t trying to help , even knowing we live an hour away. He advised I got to customer service and ask them to put in a note to not refund the gun. Get to customer service and the clerk told me she knew nothing about guns and the GSM seem lost as well. I find unprofessional that there was no management that could assist the employee in the gun department and that all the other employees were combing the aisles suspecting people. It was utterly ridiculous. I ended refunding the firearm because I didn’t want to go through the hassle of waiting to be scene and employees ignoring me and reluctant to assist. I will not be doing business at this store ever again. Staff needs better training all around and need to learn...
Read moreIn this store I purchased a handgun. Three business days later I came back to the store to pick it up. Ron, a store associate, brought me a box with a handgun, opened it and showed it to me. I asked him a couple questions about gun maintenance. Then he grabbed my gun, removed the magazine and disassembled it, removing the slides. This fact really confused me, but I decided that it was some kind of a pre-sale inspection. Ron assembled gun parts back, and put it back into the box. Then he sealed the box. I took it, asked him about good ammo for this gun and then left the store. Couple weeks later I went to the Ranch and to my disappointment, when shooting, the gun periodically jammed. To make sure that everything was correct inside it, I have tried both ways provided by the manufacturer of removing the slides. But I couldn't do it. When I brought this gun back to the store to send it back to the manufacturer for repair I asked a lady who filled out paperwork, is this a typical part of pre-sale checking to disassemble a gun by removing slides. She said that she doesn't clearly know, but if store associate disassembles firearm, it is highly likely a pre-sale check. When I came back to the store to pick up my gun after repairing, manager Brittny brought me a box with the gun and asked me to check is everything ok with it. I asked her and another associate who was there to try to remove the slides. She said NO! None of our associates allowed to disassemble guns in the store! I told her about the day when I picked up my gun from the store when Ron removed the slides. She said again: None of our associates allowed to disassemble guns in the store! I am shocked by such an indifferent and non-customer-oriented attitude of the associates of...
