As a professional makeup artist I’ve known Amanda Major for over 15 years and have worked with her many times on photo shoots and tv shows. In this time I’ve watched her grow her business from 2 small private salons in South Florida and Indiana to a full service, high end extension and color correction Mecca. Not only does Amanda use the best luxury extensions and hair products but she has invested in years of education and hands on training and travels to Los Angeles and NYC frequently to train with the best top tier celebrity stylists. This is what keeps myself and other top models coming back to Amanda for our hair services. 4 years ago my hair was an over processed blonde cotton-candy mess- I was chair hopping (bad bad bad I admit it!) at the time due to my busy work schedule and even though I worked on set with Amanda frequently I never had the time to get up to her salon. When I finally scored an appointment my hair was still a hot mess. With Amanda’s honest, no none sense guidance she refused to highlight my hair and potentially damage it more. Instead she offered her professional guidance and a list of reasonably priced products that I ordered on the spot to jump start my at home regimen to get my hair healthy for a future appointment where we would color correct and highlight. By the time I saw her again my hair was a world apart from the previous appointment just from following her at home care. As I’ve learned in my business instant gratification is easy but patience is key and is what pays off most in hair and skincare. If you want a quick-fix and someone to take your hard earned cash DO NOT go to Amanda. There are plenty of salons / stylists in South Florida that can do that for you, trust me. If you want a healthy, sustainable and long-term relationship with your hair and hairstylist and real results and yes swoon-worthy red carpet hair; well then this is your girl! And yes that means she will be booked solid for awhile....I mean did you really think someone of her caliber is waiting by the phone at this point in her...

Both my Mom and I consider ourselves privileged to be clients of Amanda Major’s. I have worked not only with Amanda , but with virtually every member of the Team at Amanda Major The Studio and each hand picked member of the Team is fabulous. Amanda’s dedication to her craft and care for her clients is only matched by her extraordinary talent. Amanda is a Rockstar. She has transformed my hair from a frizzy broken mess to a gorgeous thick shiny mane of beautiful hair. I get more compliments on my hair since I began seeing Amanda than ever before in my life. Amanda specializes in healthy hair. She has refused to do any service on my hair that she felt would damage my hair. She is the first hair artist I have been too that is not in it for the money , but rather because she really loves what she does and truly wants to help women have their best hair. Amanda had a very busy schedule and she cannot always accommodate everyone in her book . Amanda does however have Alexis, Sophie, Danielle and of course Makena all of whom are amazing in their own right. I was saddened to read a mean spirited and patently false review of this studio on here . I can tell you first hand the person who wrote that review clearly has her salons confused. Amanda has the right to decide if she feels a client is a good fit for her salon. She and her staff are highly trained professionals. Just as every professional they have earned the right to set the prices for their services and do not have to bargain or reduce their fees simply because someone wants them too. Amanda runs an excellent operation with a caring and talented staff and she charges fairly for her work. I will never trust my hair to anyone else.
