UPDATE - You demonstrated having zero information filed regarding the specifications of the ring you made in 2020, and as such, you can’t possibly be confident in your ability to recreate the ring. Furthermore, I didn’t blame you for the loss, only for wasting my time when I attempted to hire you for the replacement by failing to document and file the customized ring so a productive conversation could be had. The fact remains: having failed to prepare for our appointment, you told me it would cost more than the estimate you later sent my insurance after I decided to take my business elsewhere. I feel most people would consider that an experience worth sharing.*
I wrote a stellar review for Peter Nasr’s workmanship regarding a wedding ring set he customized for me in 2020, and I’m here today to revise that review with a rather sorry update—
In short, Peter Nasr is either petty and deals in bad business, or must have no filing system.
I recently called to make an appointment with Peter to discuss replacing the ring he made for me in 2020 which I unfortunately lost. When I went to the appointment, he had no idea what I was there for. Someone provided him with single piece of paper regarding the ring and the reason for my appointment, on which my name was misspelled and the date for the ring’s creation was incorrect. Despite the fact that he had zero information regarding the metal or stones of the ring he made for me, he was confident it would cost more than the $3.6k insurance would cover for a replacement. I responded by taking my business elsewhere, and then he changed his estimate to $3,000 when following up with my insurance company.
Peter, I suggest updating your documentation and...
Read moreI took a watch and two antique hand-made watch tips up to them to have the band replaced. Was told that, expecting around 30$ for a band, I could expect to pay a total of around 60$. The next day, I brought them a band I had purchased earlier. They said that it would work perfectly and make the whole job easier. I thanked them again and left. Less than an hour later, I received a call that my watch was ready. The first thing I was told when I walked in the door was the price had jumped now to 90$. This is fifty percent more than the price they quoted me when they were providing the band. When I questioned them about this, I was told there were some fit issues. After that, I closely inspected my watch to find they had crudely hacked into the corners of my antique watch tips with a grinder. Not only had they done that without asking first, but they did such a poor job that the tips are now grinding into the edges of my watch itself. Apparently, the five minutes spent destroying my antique watch tips justified the 60$ increase in price in their minds. Ruining the tips and damaging my watch on the process. The quality of the work was extremely poor. I could have literally done what they did with an angle grinder in my garage. They were dishonest with me from "hello." And then ruined a handmade, antique item. Honestly, I feel like I was flat-out ripped off and would strongly advise anybody to avoid them at all costs. Dishonest, unethical, and extremely poor...
Read moreFor my 25 year wedding anniversary my husband said I could pick out a new wedding band or wedding set if I like. I originally wasn't going to shop for a new set, because I was going to upgrade my diamond to a different cut and slightly bigger. I found a wedding band there that I absolutely fell in LOVE with! I was a little heart broken when just the band was more than I had budgeted for, however the sales agent CJ showed me another designer that could recreate something similar but for cheaper. I ended up getting a whole new set and it looks very similar to the other brand of ring. IT IS STUNNING! I have been wearing it the last few days, and have already gotten so many compliments on my sparkly new ring. When I say BLING! I mean it is blinding in the sun! I have been grinning ear to ear since getting it a few days ago! My husband keeps teasing me that he's blinded by my new ring every time I walk by him. I absolutely loved my time in store. They have a jeweler in store that can resize a ring or fix a piece of jewelry if needed. I will definitely go back if I shop for any more anniversary or birthday presents. Also CJ was incredibly helpful and had so many great ideas to incorporate and the ring came out so beautifully, and we were just blown away with the quality and sparkle. Also my daughter had her promise ring adjusted down to a size 3 instore. They did a wonderful job. I will be going back to them...
