Not sure what's going on here, seems like mismanagement and lack of communication between the team of employees.
I don't visit often, but the last few times I have, service has been consistently sloppy. From spending 20 - 45 minutes in the drive thru, to ordering something and then being informed they're out only when I get to the window (instead of being informed at the box), to receiving my food with none of the requested modifications.
I'll ask for a #5 with no onions and sweet tea to drink. Pretty simple. Burger will have onions on it anyway despite requesting none, and this most recent time it didn't have the bacon it's supposed to come with. Tasted the tea, it's unsweet.
Roommate gets food here regularly and his order is always wrong. Asks for no mustard and no onions, both are on his burger. Asks for sweet tea, is given unsweet tea.
One of the worst experiences for me was picking up food for both of us one night a few months ago. Lady at the box was super friendly, repeated everything back to me perfectly, directs me into the second lane. I get up to the line, and a young man with a tablet comes out and asks me what I had ordered. I tell him, he swipes my card, and leaves. A second young man brings me only 1 of my 2 drinks and leaves.
Later, my food is brought but he asks me what I had ordered as if he wasn't sure he had the right car, and the food is missing the ketchup I asked for. There are none in the bag, and I still don't have the second drink. I let him know, and he goes to get everything. Comes back out with the ketchup but no second drink, asks me yet again what I ordered. Finally I get that last drink and by the time I'm pulling out, I had been there for 45 minutes and the food was cold.
Giving 2 stars instead of 1, because occasionally there will be an employee who you can tell is trying to go above and beyond to fix the issue even if it isn't necessarily 100% their fault. A good example being today, when we informed the girl at the window that she'd given us unsweet tea and she apologized and informed us she'd brew more sweet tea. Took awhile, but at least we got...
Read moreThis Whataburger used to be 100% great, we loved this Whataburger, great staff, great Drive Thru & great Dine in. Now the staff are different on most visits, but are still kinda friendly, but the Drive Thru & Dine in service is just awful. I cannot say it is the worst ever Whataburger, because I never went to every Whataburger, but it is now, the absolutely the worst Whataburger I ever visited, it used to be the best. We stopped going to the Drive Thru, because they repeatedly get your order wrong or put you in the standby lane, take too long, forget sauces, knives n forks, sugar or napkins etc. You then have to go inside to correct the order after standing in line with new customers and other Drive Thu customers correcting their wrong orders. We started to Dine in, hoping we would get quicker, correct food and drink orders. Day after day they still get your order wrong inside, or charge you different prices for the same order. Today was the last time we are going there, I will miss the good old boy customers I've gotten to know over the past year. We ordered, paid and sat waiting, and waiting, and waiting in a near empty restaurant, others were coming and going and all getting served. We went and waited our turn at the counter yet again, and explained the situation, and voiced our unhappiness, a few minutes later we got our order, 15 minutes after originally placing the order.They gave us the wrong order. We gave em the wrong order back, took our refund and left, never to return. We drove to Whataburger Crossroads, paid for our order, and were served correctly, within 4 minutes. Whataburger at 1708 S Loop Denton needs an Area Manager to be there 24/7 until normal service is once again resumed. I am not being disrespectful to the Staff, but the management of the staff and this restaurant is not rocket science, if other Whataburgers can give consistently good food and service so should this one be able to. Read moreToday myself in a friend ordered onion rings and two milkshakes and we were sitting out of the way at an appropriate table I was waiting for another friend to come eat with us and we were there almost an hour a female manager came to our table and said that we had been in the restaurant too long and that we had to leave.. we were not done with our food... I told her that I was still drinking my milkshake and she said that we had been there too long ....mwe were about to order several hamburgers lots of french fries when our friend arrived... we were going to take it all with us. so to be sure that things were hot we waited to do our order ....I told the manager that we hadn't been there that long... that we were not loitering... that number one we were waiting for someone... number two we were about to order more food to go and number three there was a very long line when we got there and I showed her my receipt... it was disturbing uncomfortable and embarrassing because other people at the other tables heard that we were being asked to leave. I am not a deadbeat I am not a homeless person I was clearly dressed appropriately I had ordered food and paid for it and I decided to write this review. In addition the restaurant was not full at all and that's my review and I probably won't be going back there if I'm going to be asked to leave while I'm busy waiting for the rest of my party and clearly going to order $8 hamburgers to take with us so they...
