I recently went to Five Guys and ordered a bacon cheeseburger, regular fries, and a medium drink. The total came to $23.68, which I thought was a bit expensive for one person.
The burger was good. The patty was juicy and flavorful, and the toppings were fresh. However, the fries were a bit on the limp side. They weren't crispy or golden brown, and they tasted a bit undercooked.
Overall, I thought the food was good, but not great. I would probably go back to Five Guys again, but I would order something different next time. Maybe I would try the grilled cheese sandwich or the veggie burger.
Here are some of the things that I liked about Five Guys:
The burgers are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can customize your burger to your liking. The staff is friendly and attentive. Here are some of the things that I didn't like about Five Guys:
The food is a bit expensive. The fries can be inconsistent. Sometimes they are crispy and delicious, and sometimes they are limp and undercooked. The wait can be long, especially during peak hours. Overall, I would give Five Guys a 3 out of 5 stars. It's a good place to go for a burger, but it's not my favorite fast food restaurant.
Here are some additional thoughts on what makes Five Guys special and why it is so successful:
Five Guys is known for its fresh, made-to-order burgers. The beef is never frozen, and the toppings are all fresh and never pre-packaged. Five Guys also offers a wide variety of customization options. You can choose from a variety of toppings, including grilled onions, mushrooms, and bacon. You can also choose the size of your patty and the type of bun. Five Guys is known for its friendly and attentive staff. The employees are always happy to help you customize your order and make sure that you have a great experience. While Five Guys is a bit expensive, it is still a popular choice for many people. The high-quality ingredients, the wide variety of customization options, and the friendly staff all contribute to...

5 Guys has been a bit of a splurge/treat for my wife & I for years. I love the story of how the company started, I love that the family who started it chose to use higher quality ingredients despite driving their own costs up. (Although the price of a GD single pay hamburger is hard to wrap my head around...)
All that said- I think this particular location has trouble with either service or competence. Smashed, soaked burgers, 3/4 full cup on a large fries that were not cooked long enough, & no extra fries in the bag. (In this case, extra fries would have been just more of a bad thing- but that's like their thing, right?)
I see several reviews recommending Mooya which is right next door, but they have the same asinine prices, so I'd say just abstain from higher tier fast food burgers if you're in Denton Texas.
I feel bad grilling one of my favorite burger restaurants, but if you're going to ask for that much money for your product, you absolutely have to stick the...
Read moreHorrible experience. Five guys is my favorite fast food burger chain and this time they really let me down. I had placed an order online and it was set for pickup at 1:06. I typically leave some room to pick up so I ensure everything’s ready by the time I get there. I got to the establishment at 1:15, there was only one person on the line, no sounds of the grill or the fryer. I stepped up to the order area and he just gave me a dirty look and didn’t acknowledge me. I waited two more minutes, a girl came up and talked with me but her hair was all over the place, definitely not Servsafe. She told me it would be a couple more minutes for fries. I waited about 5-6 more minutes for soggy raw fries. I can understand if they were short staffed but the three people I saw working were moving slow as hell and all did not want to be there. I got home and my burger was the driest burger I’ve ever had in my life, it’s like they grilled them an hour ago and let them sit. Will not come back, they need new staff and new training....
