I've shed 175 lbs in pools since 2023 and finding a suitable pool to workout in has been sporadic. I trust that when I need something, the managers are on it. I have read the other reviews - I will not attempt to minimize them. I don't use the indoor gear or the courts - and I love basketball. An illness forced me to abandon the sports of my younger days and take up swimming, so when I go in, it's not to show off imaginary muscles in the sauna. I work out to keep my aging heart out of the emergency room. ;)
It's crowded. I believe this is a Good thing. I've been to gyms that weren't crowded, while the populace were at hospitals and plasma centers, with an average obesity of 150%. That means the average person was 50lbs overweight. That's Diabetes-range.
Denver has a growing population whereby most of its workforce uses an indoor gym to maintain health.
A crowded a gym is a good sign of a healthy community.
I have to maintain my physique for camera-ready jobs in classrooms, and few gyms have valued what I value - a protected workout space. I'm not swimming to Date. Most of those who do their laps alongside me are also there to work and there's a mutual respect about that. That's Why I'm here. Not all gyms value that, thus I've left gyms-past.
Pools are designed to be shared, the lines are lanes - and though not everyone respects the unwritten do-not-splash rule, whenever I have had a problem with uncouth water loiterers, the House has been There for me. :)
Yes, 1000 people a day, no matter how tidy and careful, are going to cause human buildup of some kind and break down.
Toilets are a never ending flow of fences - by definition - and not every culture has been trained on how to properly use toilet paper. A little assertive courtesy goes a long way. I make sure I show diplomacy even if I have to fake it - I too come off of stressful days. :)
At my age, ya learn preparatory survival tactics.
My pool shoes are not for fashion. ;) Nearly every cold or flu one can get through the water is transmitted through the feet.
My swim shirt is not for fashion. I'm overly hairy and don't want to terrify ladies nor send the wrong message. A little modesty goes a long way.
I spend multiple hours a day working out in the water and I see the staff cleaning almost nonstop - with respect to my workout. And given the effort that goes into maintaining a gym, I try to spend a few kind words their way. Hence, this review.
For the money, it's the best gym I've experienced yet. I tried nearly every other gym, private and Rec Centers.
Every day is a new aqua adventure! I love that the location owners Care.
My loving suggestion - Know What You Want Before You Buy.
A trainer is like a therapist. They offer you tools but you have to do the work. :)
I swim 3 miles a day. My childhood best friend died of a heart attack a few months ago, and I wanna see my grandkids grow up. I don't have any yet. ;)
Feel me? - Metaphorically...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was verbally harassed and assaulted by another member and not only did i not start the argument, i made an attempt to deescalate the situation which resulted in the PASTOR yelling my face and slandering my nam. rather than having an articulable conversation he was being confrontational an aggressive. The staff immediately surrounded me as if i was the aggressor, when HE CAME AT ME! Over some weights not being put away and I SUPER SET ALMOST ALL OF MY EXERCISES. I wasnt even done in that section until he came at me sideways. I came back to explain to him what i was doing and he still persisted with belittling my character and talking down on my gym etiquette.
Rather than resolve this reasonably, the 24 hour fitnessās manager decided to freeze my account and i have not been able to go to any other location all because of this childish man and his gym buddies didnāt like that i defended /spoke up for myself.
I am a medically retired combat veteran and i chose this location in Particular due to its close proximity to somewhat of a āmilitary areaā. I am extremely embarrassed and ashamed bc my PTSD dictates that i already SHOULDNT GO ANYWHERE bc im ALWAYS GOING TO BE LABLED THE āTHREATā. i have been apart of this organization dating back to my active duty days around 2011/2012 and I no longer wish to be apart of this community nor organization. As much as it saddens me to do this, 24 hour fitness has NOT EVEN BEEN CLOSE to what it USE TO BE PRE-covid and itās downsizing. Smh.
I expected so much more as a routine patron and veteran in this situation however, I no longer feel as safe as i once did this store.
My wife and I have joined a new gym franchise and her and I cannot be more comfortable and at peace at this new location. āCHUZE FITNESSā is for the win! Thanks to them i did not have to put my physical therapy on hold and i have been able to keep up with my Dr prescribed exercises and stretching šš¾
If anyone is thinking about joining 24 hours please consider all options before willingly joining such a distasteful group. They are but a shell of what they once use to be. Now itās just consistently broken equipment, saunas, hot rooms, showers & toilets. Lost me for life, at least this particular location has fasho.
10/10 WOULD āNOT āRECOMMEND.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe 24 in Lowry has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. When I first signed up it seemed like a usual Gym. As I continue to use this location, I keep coming up with disapointmemt. When you sign up they offered a complimentary session with a trainer. The first scheduled session I show up 10 minutes early. I ask the front desk if the trainer is there. They said they had seen them step out qith another client. I continued to wait until the scheduled time started. The front desk staff asked if I had been helped (not a new staff). I told them I was waiting on the trainer. 15 minuted more go by and they ask again if I had been helped. I told them why I was waiting again. They tried to call him to no avail. So, I decided to work out on my own. On the surface the facility looks pretty clean. However, as you use the machines you can see a layer of dirt and grim in all of the "hard to reach places". So, I decided to play basket ball. The court is fine except under the hoop where the wooden boards are so loose you can't dribble a ball.
My second visit I was there. I noticed that once again although it looked clean and in order, the vinyl on some of the benches are torn. As I move around the gym I notice that one of the pins on one of the cable machines are bent and do not fit. At the end of my work put I decided to get in the hot tub. Not only were the towel hooks rusty, water murky, and pace clock broken, the scum line on the skimmer was thick enough to be spread on toast.
My second scheduled session with a trainer I show up 5 minutes early and sit up by the front desk. After 10 minutes I decided to get on the row machine for 30 minutes. I was fed up at this point and decided to tell the fitness manager my distaste for my experience. He stopped me to tell me the trainer had been in back the entire time. I had seen at least one trainer up front waiting front is client and even was able to check at the desk to seeing they were there.
All in all you get what you pay for. I will be cancelling my membership as soon as my fiance's personal training...
