I was lucky enough to be visiting Denver on a first Friday of the month so I was here for the mini art festival where a lot of the studios and galleries open their doors to the public, creating an unlikely museum with open air passages between exhibit spaces. There was a bunch of great food trucks parked around the side streets off Santa Fe with plenty of options for all diets as well as some restaurants and bars between studios. Read moreNot quite what I was expecting... The pictures make it look like a great exhibit of street art but in reality, this part of town was not impressive in the least. There were a few gas stations or small businesses with a painted mural or some graffiti on the side, but most of my time there was spent walking through a run-down residential area, getting glances from smokers on their porches. It may not be a bad place to live but I would not recommend visiting, as there is not much to see and it is an hour walk away from the center...
