Barnum Park Outdoor Pool — Attraction in Denver

So, this isn't directed towards the staff, but I'm just a bit angry. I came to go swimming with my sister and her family. and I wear swim pants, I've always worn swim pants, they are the correct material and I know , swim pants. Well as I'm going into the pool, the lifeguard says I can not enter the pool. No pants in the pool. I even asked her like "these are swim pants?" And she said nope. So I went up to the counter and asked about there swim pants policy, and they looked confused and offered me to wear shorts, that they could provide. Which isn't the point. The point is, it's literally pants, swim pants-yes I'm crashing out a little bit- because what about religious people's swimwear? What about other people who choose to wear swim shirts, or swim pants like I'm sorry I'm so confused. Like genuinely. Does not make any...

Our swim lessons here were just ok. The instructors were nice but only somewhat attentive. My daughter fell off the steps while in the lesson, the lifeguard was not watching, instead she was cleaning the sides of the pool, and it took me screaming and hollering to get the instructors attention. This happened to another kid in the class as well. I really wanted to like this neighborhood pool, but it just didn’t turn out to be 5 stars. On top of that the splash pad seemed to have been down all summer. Other Denver Parks and Rec ended with a report card of sorts, ours ended with lollipops. It would be nice to see what my little one learned and what she can still work on. Instructors should be trained and excited to work...

This place is definitely my son's and nephews play place. We just love it here. They have two splash pad areas for the kiddos (but I find myself getting splashed at times=).... A kid pool (perfect for toddlers and babies), a slide in the deep end.. (5ft4 inch. Deep) A great pool that the boys enjoy swimming in. Close to home and worth it Every time.
