Tried out this nail salon because it had great reviews and was very disappointed. My appointment was at 6pm but there wasn’t a nail tech available until 6:30pm so I had to wait. No one told me which basket to look at colors for a gel manicure so I mistakenly picked a dip color and had to go back and choose one from the gel basket. Once the pedicure station was ready, I put my feet in scalding hot water and because no one was available to assist I just took my feet out and sat for 30min until there was a nail tech available. The person who did my pedicure didn’t say one word to me and the pedicure was rushed and turned out sloppy. She then did my gel nails, she didn’t ask how I’d like the shape and when she opened the polish I chose she scoffed. The actual gel manicure is very thick and has very obvious drops of polish left over. They look awful and sloppy. The nail tech was rude and another customer even asked if she was going to be in a good mood today while I was there, she said no. I still paid and tipped because I felt awkward and this person still did a job, just a terrible one. The actual nail salon was very obviously dirty. The station I had my manicure at was not cleaned or wiped down after the customer ahead of me either. Certainly...
Read moreThe owner is nice.I like this salon because they do good work, but they never tell you the prices up front. When you ask to clarify some of them treat you like you cant pay if you ask about the prices, but at the end they hit you with a big surprise bill. The prices vary everytime for designs, you should really put this on your price menu. The people who call this place affordable must be mistaken. You will assume your paying 45 for a full set but its actually 65. My pedi was 65 and they didnt even get all the skin off my heel! They listed an under 12yr medi and pedi as 40 but charged me 85 total because of shellac and a few polkadots! Then they want you to tip!! This place iscrazy high! I thought this would be our new place but I think Ill use a lady that posts her services on Facebook whenever I can and come to kates as a very last resort or a wax. There are people who do nails professionally that post on facebook for 40 for a shellac fullset and she will come to your home. Here if you want a shellac fullset and pedi, you will surely need over $100 per person. Going forward, I wont bring my daughters here unless its a special occassion and Ill bring my own Shellac polish for use, because I refuse to be charged so much just for...
Read moreUpdate: Now I've been coming for a year and I can't say enough. I did switch to builder gell amd my nails are stronger than ever! Mia does an amazing job. She is a total perfectionist! The salon is always clean and their massage chairs for pedicures are awesome! They renovated this summer and the updates to the shop are so amazing. If you can image it, they can do it! I won't go anywhere else!
I’ve been coming to Kate Nails & Lashes for about 4 months, and I’ve always been extremely happy with my nails and eyebrows. I get the dipped nails, and for the first time, I’ve been able to grow my natural nails longer than ever before. They last at least 3 weeks! Whether I’ve set an appointment or walked in, I’ve never had a bad experience. I’ve also never been happier with my eyebrows. The shape is amazing, and I even dyed them slightly to match my hair (since they’re usually a bit lighter), so I no longer have to fill them in. I no longer have to worry about them at all. I would definitely recommend...
