My pregnant wife and I wanted a sweet treat tonight so like always we went to sonic closest sonic to our house which is this location. We ordered an Orange Cream Slush for her and a Strawberry Cheese Cake shake with oreos for us. We drove away happy knowing we were served quickly. I took a sip out of my shake and it was a little watery and extremely sour. Thinking it may be the strawberries I tell my wife to taste it and she said no turn around the milk is sour. So we head back luckily we didn't venture too far before tasting. I pressed the button and just let the girl know that it tasted sour and we would like a new one, and she kindly replied "I'll have to let my manager know". Then a couple of minutes later a gentleman named Ty last name started with an N approaches my vehicle and says "WHAT" in a kind of disgruntled voice I kindly let him know I thought the shake was sour and he replied extremely angrily "you're the only one who has complained about my shakes being sour" so being the guy I am I just simply say well I'd like a new one and that I just ordered that one. He then got closer to my vehicle getting loud while my 2 children are sleeping in the back of my truck. He gave me no option of getting a new one and only offered my money back.
My issue is not that my shake was sour because stuff happens. I can't tell you how many times I've replaced parts on a car with brand new OEM parts that are broken. My issue is that I wasn't angry or yelling or making a scene yet the manager of this store who is supposed to calm situations and make customers happy made my situation worse. So now not only am I ice creamless but I've also got a wicked stomachache. Just the wrong way to approach a situation like that. I will be calling the manager and owner tomorrow morning...
*Update.. Sorry it took so long! The owner made everything right! She took responsibility of her employee's actions and took care of...
Read moreAfter waiting quite a while to order, I ordered a meal that was supposed to come with fried chicken and a small cup of gravy. I was told (clearly by some teenager) that I couldn’t have the gravy because they were “out” of the cups they put gravy in. So I asked if they could just put it in another container and was flat-out told no, which is absurd in itself.
When the food finally came out, my server was clearly more mature and a better employee than whoever took my order. I asked her why I couldn’t just have the gravy in another cup, and she looked very confused and said plainly that they aren’t out of any cups, and that she would bring my gravy right away. She went in and promptly came out with it, apologizing continuously for the behavior of her terrible coworkers who clearly just didn’t want to do the job they were being paid to perform. I would give my server more stars, but something tells me she’s got enough sense to not stick around a place like this.
Between the Taco Bell right down the road and this Sonic location, it’s almost as if they know they will get customers no matter what, so the employees try to 1up each other for worst fast food staff anyone has ever seen. It boggles my mind how much they can mess up one of the simplest jobs out there. True scholars all around. Let’s give them all some resounding applause for being some of the most incompetent people this side of the...
Read moreWhile I’m generally understanding of fast food joints, this place takes the proverbial cake.
First visit: arrived around 11:15 on a Friday night to grab food after the bar. “We’re only serving drinks”.
Second visit: ordered breakfast burritos, extra steak and cheese. Charged for, did not receive either but an over helping of eggs and no cheese.
Third visit (today): ordered two sonic blasts. After I’ve paid a line cook comes out to let us know the m&ms are wet and she doesn’t feel comfortable serving them so we can pick something else instead. She says push the call button and let them know. We do, ask for cheddar peppers. A second girl comes out saying they don’t have m&ms and I tell her that’s why I asked for peppers. Bring the order, I’ve been charged for peppers, asked they be comped (as, in my experience in the industry, they would be given the inconvenience plus the 30 minutes this has taken). Manager comes out asks what she can do tell her comp would be great. She comes BACK out nearly yelling about her staff told her I didn’t pay for the blast they took off (I had) and I couldn’t just have peppers for free...but she had already taken them off so the point of the conversation was null.
Won’t be going back, ever. Horrid service, never have product and they’re forever undertrained and...
