I had to go to the Xfinity store. There are a multitude of shops there, I guess like a giant outdoor mall. They have metered parking in front of all the shops so I usually go to one of the small parking lots that are free. However, on this day (Saturday 11-4-23), they were having a drone viewing event and they had decided to close off all the small parking lots and all of the Target and 3/4ths of the very large Bass Pro Shop parking lot. I was able to find a parking spot at the far end, forcing me to walk about 4 blocks to get to my destination...which is fine, but I would have preferred the lot much closer. Also, I drove all around and there wasn't even an available metered spot. (A lot of times I can find a meter with 10 or 15 minutes left, which would have worked since I only needed to drop off a modem.) But, bottom line, I hate going into the Xfinity store for a variety of reasons, and was really griped that Xfinity no longer offers the option to mail things back... Anyway, I drove home and went on...
Read moreThis location was between my two jobs, so if I needed to do some shopping between my driving routes. I would stop at Bath and Body work, Lane Bryant and a few other stores. That was until one day I parked my truck and walked around the corner to Bath and Body work to buy some purse size lotions bottles. To my surprise an older white man followed me into the store and stared me down alone with the store manager. While talking to the sale person. They stood a few feet away from us, giving me a death threat look as if I had committed a crime visiting the store. When you read about customers being racially profile, you pray that it will never happen to you. I found out the guy was the Northfield security guard. I have spent hundreds of dollars at this store and online and to be treated in this manner makes me sick to my stomach!!! Hope the Northfield Center owners read this post to make changes for all visitors to feel safe while shopping at...
Read moreAverage outdoor mall with an okay variety of shops. Could do with more entertainment than just the movie theater and Gameworks (I know there is an Improv there, but it's nothing special). The large bar/music venue that used to be Toby Keith's then Cowboy's Saloon has been sitting vacant for a while, it would be nice to see something go in there, same for the old Staples store. Northfield does host several events throughout the year including a family festival, car show, and wine festival. I do miss Cleatz being there, it was the best place in the area for happy hour and had the nicest owners and great bartenders. Phenix Salon Suites was a good addition, you can't go wrong with a haircut, shave, and/or massage at Element of Boldness and Peony Nails is fantastic for a pedicure...
