Gloucester County Store — Attraction in Deptford Township

I would give more stars if I could because the service my family received from Taijaneay was extraordinary. She was a delight and very knowledgeable. We were applying for our passports for the first time and she was so patient and kind. Previously my family and I visited the County Store on Saturday March 01,2025 and we were extremely disappointed. Having waited over 2 hours in line we were told we did not have the proper birth certificates. That was understandable so we decided to only get my sons passport however we were told after his photo was taken, form completed that we need a marriage license. The form was ripped in front of us and we were not able to apply for my sons passport either. We gave it another try tonight with all of the correct paperwork and did not have high hopes of getting the best service. My were we surprised!! Now I don't have any issue referring people to the County Store as long as Taijaneay is there. Please let her know that my family and I are grateful for her kind spirit and keen knowledge. Their is another lady with blonde hair that I truly believe needs retraining or should ask someone if she is unsure of something. I am not the only one that noticed this. This place is terrible! The woman behind the counter was rude, obnoxious and gave us bad information. My family and I were in line last Saturday, January 26, at approximately 4:45 PM to get our passports updated. We had been waiting in line for about an hour. A middle-aged woman with glasses told us that we needed birth certificates even though we had passports issued previously. She suggested we go to Philadelphia to get our birth certificates and then come back to apply for updated passports. We did not think this sounded right so we went to the clerks office in the Moorestown mall. They allowed us to apply for the renewal and explained that birth certificates were not needed. I realize that the woman at the Gloucester County office simply wanted to get people out of line so she could close the store promptly at 5:30. She almost cost us our vacation. Went to get a new passport . I made an appointment online and had my paper work and check completed ahead of time. Thought I was very prepared. Got to the window and did not fill my paper work out with black ink. This is stated very tiny at the top of the page of the form. The same forms in the store have a stamp on them to use black ink. Also, do not make your check out ahead of time. The State will only accept the amount of the passport. You can not combine all fees!!! . The gentleman that worked there talked so fast we could not understand what he was saying. Please note they keep your original birth certificate and it is mailed back to you in two weeks.
