Hotel is mediocre at best. Based on your needs it can work but based on who is next door good luck getting sleep because walls are thin! I was not lucky.
To begin, my husband and I checked in after midnight. We saw the shower was dirty but decided to wait for the morning as no maids were around at midnight. Next morning called the front desk to have a maid come and clean the shower. Simple request that turned into a ignored request. First the front desk clerk had to pass the message to a manager. Why, who knows? Manager and head of the maids come and explain the shower is stained not dirty and that the maids scrub the shower floors. They offer a towel to stand on. Could not even bother to honor my request.
We decided on using shower shoes to be safe. When we turned on the shower, small pieces of something started coming out of the cracks in the shower as all the walls are not flush. As you can see in the photos, though they may not be able to remove the stains from the shower floor, they do not clean the shower or it would not have red mold under the wall. They do not scrub the drain either. Had to go to the gym just to shower in a clean space.
Moving past that, the walls are so thin. The people next door to us were having a party. We let it go until 1130. Called the front desk. Mind you from my cell as the phone in the room was broken as well and before I forget the toilet rocked. That was fun.
The front desk person did what they could but the people were rude. They calmed and started up again. Had to recall at 1:30am to get these people to stop. Even at 9:30 am the maids tried to tell them to be quiet but they again did not care about others who may still be resting.
There was a what sounded like a child running back and forth above us as well. The other side of us had their TV loud. You will hear everything. Don’t expect to focus or rest if you are here for business if you enjoy a quiet space to get work done.
Concerning families, I would not bring small children as they did a lazy upgrade. As you can see in the photos paint is peeling and wood corners are exposed. Not safe.
If you enjoy a large room, noise doesn’t bother you and have low cleaning standards then this is your place. Otherwise save yourself the poor experience and go somewhere else. Overpriced for the lack of rest you will get! Never again. Not a good representation of the...
Read moreIn all my years of travel, my stay at a Home2 for the first time was one of my worst experiences ever. So many things went wrong, it seemed as if they were trying to make it bad. It started from the very first minute I walked in and progressively got worse. They were happy to see me and all 4 of my rooms were available. What? I booked one room not 4 and I called so it wasn't a computer problem. Then they had my name wrong, email address wrong, I thought maybe they had me confused with someone else. After a challenging check-in we went to our room . It was okay, not great. Tried to use their wi-fi and it didn't work. Seems that login is tied to my name which was misspelled. I can't believe this. Went out to eat and visit family and came back to our room. I tried to turn on the TV to get weather. It didn't work. I tried everything. So, I picked up the phone to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. I might expect this in a low budget hotel but this room was over $300 a night. So, I went down to the front desk and was told there was nothing they could do to help me as they were the only one there. They could transfer me to another room. What? I'm unpacked, wife is in bed it's midnight and you want to transfer me to another room. OMG. I went to bed hoping this nightmare would be over. But NO! I get home to find out that an additional $50 was added to my bill for "incidentals" What? What? In my 50 years of staying in hotels, I have never been charged so much for so little service then add an additional $50 for whatever. My first time in a Home2 will also be my last. You said you'll contact me privately.....no you won't. You got my name wrong, obviously my email address is wrong also. The only thing you got right was my credit...
Read moreI recently stayed at this Home 2 Suites, as my daughter was playing at the DE Turf for a weekend tournament. The location is great, but not worth the service. After check in, we tried to turn on the TV and realized it wasn't working. Called down to lobby and was told maintenance would be up in 5 minutes. After ~45 minutes I went downstairs to check on status and was told he didn't come in yet. That evening he did come up but could not get it to work. I did ask if I could change rooms, but there were no rooms available. I asked if I could check out and get a refund as clearly the room was not equipped with how it was advertised. I was told I would still be charged--front desk less than helpful--and appeared annoyed at my requests. I went down the next morning to speak to manager about compensation. She was courteous and told me that she would send someone up again and stated that I would be compensated. Maintenance came up again and couldn't fix the TV. At check out the next day, I asked about compensation and was told nothing could be done as manager, Cindy, wasnt in and that I would need to call the next day. I attempted to call the number on the business card, twice with no avail. I did send emails and filled out guest survey where I received a response stating that they were advised that the hotel had reached out to me already ---not true. This could've been a simple problem with a simple fix, but lies and lip service are not my thing. The first maintenance worker told us that we were 1 of 4-5 rooms with same issue. If you want to play Russian roulette to see if you get a room with a working tv, this is the hotel for you .... One disappointed...
