First and foremost, I want to state that this is my honest opinion as to whether this attraction is worth going to or not. I normally wouldn’t start a review with such a disclaimer as you would think that is a given, but I will explain why I chose to do so by the end. This is a good haunt. I went last year, and it was super light on actors and had poor crowd control. Both of those issues have mostly been fixed now, which I am quite happy about. The animatronics and props are the star here though. So many cool things to look at. My favorite being one near the doll area that was integrated with a performer (you will know when you see it, trust me) but I will refrain from saying more as to not spoil anything. My main complaints are that it is a little short, too reliant on loud noises instead of real scares, and just a bit scattershot when it comes to how the sets transition into each other. A more consistent theme would be a good idea. However, we come to the big problem I have which I mentioned up top. On the way out, I was offered free merch in exchange for a five star google review. I am sure that it is legal, but it is immoral behavior in my opinion. It makes me question how many of the positive reviews I see/saw for this place are honest or just from customers who wanted a tote bag or a can cooler. I was seriously considering leaving a one-star rating due to this practice, but the actual experience warrants a much better score. Just keep in mind when reading any reviews for this place that they might be possibly fraudulent or at the very least colored by what the reviewer may have received from the business.
Edit: Replying to the house here. If you want to give people swag for leaving a review either positive or negative, that would be wonderful. The QR code I had the option to scan was just for five star reviews, and the employee giving out the gifts said as much. That is not an acceptable practice in my opinion no matter what you think. Good haunt...
Read moreMy first visit to Disturbia Haunted House on Halloween and Holy Sh*t! and I thought Massacre Haunted House was WILD, but Disturbia takes IT ALL TO A NEW LEVEL! the actors are VERY ENTERTAINING AND EXTREMELY ENGAGING. I found my Horror Crush in the actor in all white (Giggles?) Photo posted below. He was the BEST! SUPER CUTE, too! (I hope I see him again. I want to give him a big hug because he truly made MY YEAR!❤️) You could tell the actors love what they do...especially THE CHAINSAW actor who chased some girl out of the line LMFAO. He deserves an OSCAR! WHAT A PERFORMANCE DUDE!🫡 the actor CHAINZ had a cute personality was quite "Gentleman like" as he gave my brother and I a LEAF🍂LMAO!🥰 One of the actors in the haunt, she had very, very ,very long BLUE hair (still want to know if it's real) I told her "I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!" she looked down at my Terrifier sweatshirt and said,"I Love your shirt" LMFAO! I had a fan girl moment there and was like "YOU LIKE ART TOO???" and she said "Yes" lol! That was definitely one FUN interaction! Nice to see Art the Clown Fandom in a Haunted House!❤️ Can't forget the crooked man actor, he was the SCARIEST something about that character really freaked me out lol.. he even went out of his way to follow me when he saw me looking at him LOL! My brother Matt and I enjoyed this very much and we will be back! Disturbia gets a 10/10! SO MUCH FUN!!! JOB WELL DONE DISTURBIA! ALL THE PROPS IN THE WORLD TO YOU! YOU SHOULD FEEL PROUD! Read moreTotal scam. Reluctantly spent $175 (after taxes) for my family of 5. Purchased tickets online for 7:45 time slot. Arrived at 7:35 and was told they were running behind and it would be a 1.5 hour line unless we spent an extra $20/head to skip the line and walk right in.$175+ $100= $275 to go to a haunted house??? We declined and got in line where we stood for over 3 hours watching the never-ending procession of line jumpers (who paid the additional fee) walk right in. Had I known this was the process up front I would have never purchased the tickets in the first place. After 2 hours of waiting my family wanted to go home but I insisted we stay as I was not willing to walk away from my $175 purchase empty-handed. The final stretch of the line was not tented and we stood for an hour in drizzle on a 40 degree night. It was torture. Also one of the costumed actors snatched hats off my boys 2 hours into the line while trying to scare them. He began to walk off and my 11 y/o poked his leg and the guy crouched down and got in his face and scolded him saying that we will all be kicked out if we touched him again. Apparently the hat-snatching was cool but trying to get the hats back was not. The altercation was over the top, uncalled for and disrespectful. Absolutely miserable experience. They will never see me and my...
