Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Never again. First, it took roughly 10 minutes to get our server over to us, and that's because I went up to the bar area and asked. Then after ordering a water and Corona, we were given dry, almost, yellow, fringed limes (like they had been squeezed before and the pulp was out). I went back up to the server by her station to ask for better limes, which we received after 5 minutes. Then we got salsa and chips. The salsa was very mild and asked the server for something spicier, 10 minutes later, got another batch, same. We then ordered flautas and camarones al mojo de ajo (garlic shrimp). Surprisingly didn't take anymore than 10 minutes to receive. But that wasn't a good thing. I noticed the tortillas for the flautas were very dry. And unfortunately the shrimp was completely wrong. It was covered in a red sauce, not spicy to maybe think it was the shrimp diabla on their menu, not even garlicy. We waited 5 minutes for the server to come back to ask how the food was. And told her this wasn't correct. Then the LOVELY old geezer manager came by and asked what was wrong and we explained. He then took the plate with an attitude and offered another Corona. No surprise, the Corona was to temperature and opened by the manager before we even noticed the issue. So here I go again to the bar area and asked the manager for a cold beer. The next one, didn't even perspire. We had had enough. We waited for the server, and then the old geezer came by again. Attitude and all, he was upset that he opened a beer up for us "on the house," and that neither one of us wanted the food that was given to us. So when we received the bill, he charged me for the flautas and the beer. I went back up to him and this is where it got nasty. I asked why the charge for the beer... He's like well I can't lose money out on this beer because you didn't like the food. Really... One Corona is going to make the biggest impact on your night here. You must really be in trouble financially here. Then I asked why he charged me for my food. Both of us had issues with our food, why are you charging... Oh that's right, because I ate the warm rice and nothing else. Easy, charge me for a rice and leave it at that. Nope.! He's like I have to charge you for the full dinner. He even had the nerve to say that the kitchen is all "Mexicans" and the recipe for the wrong shrimp is correct according to the chef. To make a long story short, he wasn't being accommodating whatsoever. He yelled in my face in front of customers. And told him I would leave if he didn't change the bill. Threatened to call the cops after I specifically yelled back to him to charge me for the beer and that's it. Grumpy, racist, old man. Bad service. Bad food....
Read moreToday was my first time visiting, and unless I go to another location, it will be my LAST. We explained that it was our first time visiting, most places would explain any specials, happy hours or promotions going on, especially since we sat in the bar area. Our waitress, who was either honestly clueless or just lacked the basics of customer service skills did not speak of any specials. I had to almost pry it out of her. I ordered the chorizo queso dip, a margarita flight and a corona, which we finally discovered was $3. The queso was great. Since we were sitting at the bar, we could see the corona just sitting there getting warm while my flight was slowly being made. I politely requested the waitress to go on and bring my friend’s corona, so that it wouldn't get warm. She brings it over. Next, she brings the margarita flight, which, mind you, is supposed to be frozen. I get she didn't actually make the flight, but when I asked her if it should be more frozen, she simply shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I then find someone who seems to be a manager, he walks over seemingly bothered. I asked him about the margarita flight, explained that we told our waitress about it when we were first given it and asked him if the consistency was supposed to be more like a frozen margarita vs an on the rocks margarita. He then proceeds to ask me 21 questions before finally providing a solution in which we had to coax out of him. The solution was suggesting to remake them, I'm sorry, remake 1 or 2 of them. Finally they remade them, a new waitress brought them out and explained that the machine was being tricky and the same thing happened to a couple of her tables earlier. This kind, honest, explanation was greatly appreciated, and this waitress is the reason I am comfortable with this establishment receiving the 1 Star that is the minimum required to leave a review. I must say, this was quite an unfortunate experience, I do hope the other locations are better. I however, will NEVER waste any of my nor my friends money in this establishment ever again. The grandiose lack of basic customer service was...
Read moreI waited over TWO hours for my dinner. And after praying it would atleast be worth the wait, I quickly wished I went to Taco Bell instead. Staff was rude and frantic and SO unorganized. As for the food? Check out my photos I posted. I ordered through GrubHub and upon trying to get a refund, the grubhub representative told me the restaurant denied that I deserved a refund. HAA .
Chicken Tamales: described on the menu as "An Authentic taste of Mexico". Again, Taco Bell would have been more authentic. The tamales were 99.5% corn and 0.5% chicken. They flavor was awful. They forgot the salsa ranchero sauce.
Mole Enchiladas: Dried out so bad the sauce was cracking on top.
Refried Beans: watered down sewage.
Sides of lettuce, tomato, and sour cream: I think the cook literally threw the container across the kitchen for it to be packed. Mishandled, mistreated and certainly unappetizing.
Queso Chorizo: not much i can say because the cook didnt properly adhere the lid to the container so it spiled all over the inside of the bag and there was none left to eat. But the queso looked as thin as water so I think the universe did us a favor by not allowing us to eat it.
The highlight of the meal? The FREE cinnamon chips that come with every meal.
The owner and staff should be ashamed of themselves to allow food like that to go out the door. The owner wasn't even present while the restaurant was going down in flames, so it's no surprised all the staff couldn't perform...they were set up for failure. After spending over an hour and a half with grubhub customer service, I did recieve a refund but it was no thanks to the restaurant. They have no standards for customer service/satisfaction and definitely no standards for quality edible food. We will never ever return to this restaurant and will definitely never recommend this...
