Editing 8/2025 to share the amazing customer service I received after an issue arose that was out of The Bride Room's control. Originally my dress had an estimated arrival of early August. I called early August to confirm this was still on track. Jessica was able to see that my dress was supposed to ship on the 13th and arrive about a week later. This was a little later than the estimate, but not a big deal. Jessica then also emailed the manufacturer to confirm this was still on track. A little over a week after the 13th I was contacted by Jessica. She had been watching for my dress, and when it hadn't come in as expected she immediately contacted the manufacturer. After some research it was discovered that the dress had been lost in shipping by UPS. This was not the news I wanted to hear of course, but how it has been handled has been phenomenal! I'm absolutely blown away!
First, Jessica was so professional in how she told me the news. She was extremely sympathetic, but also very reassuring that they could still get my same dress and take care of alterations in time for my wedding (7 weeks out). While I was initially heartbroken, I felt so much confidence that Jessica would deliver. The next day Jessica contacted me again with more details. The manufacturer was going to expedite remaking my dress, and it would arrive mid-September. Their alterations shop would also waive any rush fees, and I would still have my dress in time for my bridals and wedding in early October. As if this wasn't enough, Jessica then offered, for my peace of mind, for me to come and pick a backup dress out that they would hold for alterations in the very unlikely event that my replacement dress did not make the timeline. While I loved my initial dress and couldn't imagine wanting a different one, this was absolutely the peace of mind I needed to know no matter what I would have a beautiful dress that I loved.
My appointment to find my backup dress was at their new sister shop, Love and Curves- and I loved it! My appointment was with Laurel, the owner. She had come in herself to make sure I was taken care of. She also is the head of alterations and knew exactly what could be done to each dress, if needed. Laurel also told me that if I found a dress that I liked even better than my original that they would just do it as an even exchange and we would start alterations on that dress- again above and beyond service. I didn't think I could find a better dress, but I was wrong. The second dress I tried on was one Jessica had pulled ahead for me knowing the aesthetic of my original dress. I immediately fell in love. I tried on a few others, but put it back on and knew it was THE dress. It was everything my original dress was and more. My first dress made me feel like a princess, this one made me feel like a QUEEN! Laurel confirmed that I wasn't settling for this dress, and I truly wasn't, so we scheduled alterations. No "let's wait and see if your dress comes in", just a "Iet's take care of business". Laurel and her team took this stressful situation and made it completely stress-free!
I've now had my first alterations appointment with Laurel at Alterations Artistry. Again, Laurel delivered excellent service, by waiving the build up change, as my original dress did not need a build up. This was not something I had to ask for, she offered. She has been so easy to work with, and I'm so excited for the final product, which I'll have in plenty of time for my bridals and wedding.
I would recommend The Bride Room and Love and Curves, to Every.Single.Bride. You want people who will go above and beyond in your corner, especially for such a big day. Laurel and her team have rectified this situation in every way!!! Thank you!â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
4/2025 I had such an amazing experience at The Bride Room, especially with Dom guiding me! Dom was so patient as I struggled to figure out what I liked, but she asked all the right questions and we found my dress! Dom really made me feel like family- like she was an extension of my squad. Thank you,...

While my initial experience of trying on and eventually picking my dress was good, I very much regret getting my dress from here. Something that was supposed to be one of the most exciting parts of my wedding became a very unnecessary stressful experience. I ordered my dress on April 4th, and was assured that the dress should be delivered the end of July or early August at the very latest, leaving enough time for alterations before my bridal pictures in September. I called on August 6th after not receiving any information on my dress and asked if someone could update me as soon as possible. I was texted the next day and was told twice that their timelines are always estimated and my dress had not even shipped yet, but they would notify me as soon as they heard back from the designer. I understand that timelines are estimated, however I should have been notified immediately when it appeared that my dress would not be arriving in the estimated time window, especially when I ordered my dress 4 months in advance. I finally received an update on August 14th, only after me and my mother left multiple messages over the course of a few days. We were told my dress would arrive on Tuesday the 19th and luckily it did. The manager said that due to the arrival being so close to my bridal picture date they were going to wave rush fees if we used their in house alterations. When I was texted on the 19th informing me that my dress had arrived, in that text I was told I had to schedule a pickup time but anytime between business hours Monday-Friday should work. I asked if I could pick up the dress the next day (the 20th) the gal said that they would be closed that day and provided no explanation, even though there was nothing on their website or instagram saying they would be closed. I then asked if I could just send my mom to pick up the dress that night instead and received no response, even though it was around 4:30 and their business hours state that they're open until 7. My mom went to go try and pickup the dress around 5:45 (well before closing) and all the lights were off and the doors were locked. I finally was able to pickup my dress on the 21st and found a different alterations place because even with rush fees being waved I could not afford their alterations. It seems to me that the staff there only care about how important a wedding dress is when they are trying to sell it to you, but once they've made their sale that importance no longer exists to them. As a bride this was a nightmare and by the time my dress finally got here I was no longer excited about it, I just was relieved that I could finally be done dealing with this establishment. Jessica was the fill in manager when we picked up my dress and she was absolutely amazing and I felt like she cared more about the situation then anyone else who worked there. My entire wedding dress experience was tainted with unnecessary stress due to the severe lack of communication and negligence. If you're a future bride, save yourself time, money, and stress and just go...
Read moreMy initial experience at the Bride Room was alright with the consultation but as soon I chose the dress and the payment plan was agreed upon customer service started to fall apart.
I was on the most expensive 3 month payment plan and got a text stating:
Hey Jasmine! This is Kae with The Bride Room! I have exciting news! Your dress has arrived and looks amazing!! I canât wait for you to see it! We are ready to schedule a pick up appointment for you! You can pick up anytime during business hours, except on Saturdays! Let me know what works best for you! If youâd like to use our team for alterations, we can schedule that for you as well. The times the seamstress is available are different than our business hours, and vary each day, so please call us for availability! Our alterations are in a different location so youâll still pick up with us and then take it to them. Let me know if you have any questions.
So I took the day off work and got my bridal party prepared for the arrival of the dress after pickup. No where in this message does it mention that there would be any issue with me picking it up as scheduled and as they mentioned. Once I arrived to pick it up I could tell there was some panic once they realized that they had messed up and I shouldn't have been there, but absolutely no accountability was taken on anyone's part for their mistake. There were 4 ladies gathered and I was informed that I could not pick up the dress unless it was paid for in full despite a payment plan being in place. This pressured me into a position where I was either going to have to pay in full at that moment and then pay half down for the tailoring alterations or wait until the payment plan had been fulfilled before being able to take the dress to the tailor, putting me up against the timeline of the tailor and being put in a situation where rush fees are very possible, all they didn't mention this to me in their initial text.
The way things went down it seems to me like someone messed up by letting me know the dress is just ready for pickup with no other context and not looking into my account to see there was a payment plan in place that could impact that before scheduling that appointment. The very least they could have done was let me know that the dress is ready for pickup but would need to be paid for in full before pickup because according to that text there was no issue with me just picking it up at the scheduled time. Money was lost, time was wasted and trust destroyed over this customer service error with no apologies or accountability made. It seems like it could have been a pressure tactic to get the dress paid for in full before the initially agreed upon payment plan was completed.
I would not recommend this shop to those who...
