I just picked up your coffee from Kowalski's in Woodbury, MN yesterday for the first time ONLY because of the name "Highlander"; my husband's favorite show is Highlander with Adrian Paul. :)

So, this morning was a DELIGHT to open it, and really, we were impressed with the aroma and unique flavoring. Such bold smells and a great taste. (We tried it in our espresso machine and I will look forward to also trying it in our french press!)

We picked up a dedicated espresso roast, so we are excited to try that next!

Purchased my first bag of Alakef beans through devotea.com. This organic Mexico decaf is excellent. For my taste the roast is perfect: the beans have been taken just to the edge of cracking and releasing their oils (important to me as oily beans clog my machine), they are dark but still dry, so the aromas and flavors are rich but not too strong. Whoever roasted this batch knew exactly what they were doing and had split-second timing. Highly recommended. I'll write another review after a while to assess...

Italian blend was our favorite for a few years, we hoped they would keep up with what we had come to expect. However ;( recently the flavor profile has changed ;( dramatically. Customer service has always been great, however “goodbye Jane!” it was always nice. Now, after Making attempts to get them to blend and roast something we were use too... for years...they don’t seem capable of producing the same quality consistently. Sorry to say... We are looking for...
