After visiting Adrenaline Monkey for the first time over winter break with my daughter we thought it would be a great place to book her 9th Birthday party. What we thought was going to be a fun memorable Saturday afternoon turned out to be nothing short of a nightmare. Leaving me feeling incredibly embarrassed in front of all of my 9 year old daughters party guest. Our party was booked a couple weeks in advance for 2/1 @2pm. When we showed up at our party time there was a FINA competition going on that had been going since earlier that morning. The place was closed to the general public at this time. We were a bit confused but we were being told they were going to be finishing up. When we got to our party room the room seemed very messy with 3 rectangle tables thrown together with three table covers, a couple plates and a stack of plastic cups. oh and ZERO chairs. When party guest started to arrive there were no grip socks being given to the children. They were telling guest that they ran out. We were assigned 2 party host. We noticed that the party host were asking the kids to stay put and not go out into the obstacle courses yet. We were already past our 2pm start time already. Your asking a group of excited 8 and 9 year old's to wait in a small room. Super odd I thought. When more guest arrived the host took them down and said they would be doing things as a group. All fine with us! However we noticed the FINA competition still going on the rest of the obstacle courses. They first took the kids to the rock climbing wall and then over where they are harnessed and able to climb up the glass walls. At this point we were down to one party host who was having to harness all of the children and send them up one at a time. Because of the FINA competition still going on the rest of the children were being told to stay put and not move around the facility. This left the kids feeling frustrated and confused as to why they couldn't move around and had to just stand there. My husband and I started get a bit frustrated and expressed it to the staff who kept apologizing and saying it was out of their control. During the first hour there this is all my Guest were allowed to do. They were not allowed to move around the facility. Did I mention they were blocking us into certain areas with retractable belt barriers. Yes, as crazy as this all sounds it gets worse! Were then told Pizza was there and that once we were done eating that the FINA competition should be all done and we would be able to use the whole facility. I said OK even though we paid for a full 2 hours to use the facility. After the kids finished up eating they ran down eager to finally be able to play, and well you guessed it!! FINA competition was still NOT OVER!! It was pass 3:30 at this point and 1.5 hours into our party. Family of the competitors began yelling at our children even physically grabbing them from the obstacle courses. This left children in tears including the birthday girl. Parents from our party then began yelling back. Staff had no control of the situation whatsoever. IT WAS A MESS! I was completely mortified and shocked that this was happening. The FINA competition did not finish well until pass 4pm!! This also left a line of general admission guest waiting who were also very angry. The manager on site could only apologize and offered my husband and I a full refund for the catastrophe. Still this did not change the fact that they ruined my 9 year old daughters birthday party and completely embarrassed us in front of our party guest. We purchased there most expensive party package paying $800 for 20 kids and didn't receive half the things listed in the party package or even use of the facility. It is very clear that the FINA competition was priority, then close to the public, and you certainly shouldn't be booking birthday parties. Again they did refund us but I will never come back here and would warn anyone who considers having a party here. They seemed to have good reviews which is completely mind boggling to me as to how this...
Read moreIn just a few months, Adrenaline Monkey has truly become a second home for my kids and me. I first discovered Adrenaline Monkey while it was still under construction and later found a Groupon after they opened. When we visited, my kids (ages 8, 7, and 5) had an absolute blast!
As a teacher, I had to return to work before my kids’ summer break ended, so I nervously signed them up for the drop-in summer camp. I was blown away—they loved every minute of their 8-hour days there! Since then, we've become members, which has been a game-changer for our family. With one of my sons playing baseball at Lifezone 360 and the other playing soccer with the LZ360 soccer club, we’re at the facility almost daily. The membership allows my other kids to play while practices happen—it’s so convenient, and they love it!
The staff at Adrenaline Monkey is incredible. They’re not just there to supervise—they actively engage with my kids, playing alongside them while I work at the tables (yes, they have wifi!). It’s a perfect setup: my kids burn off energy while I get productive time to focus.
The facility is clean, thoughtfully designed, and offers so many exciting activities for kids and adults to explore. From rock climbing walls and interactive obstacle courses to ninja courses and foam block fort-building, there’s always something new and challenging for my kids to try. It’s helping them grow into strong, confident, well-rounded individuals.
Adrenaline Monkey even has a snack stand with healthy options, and they offer adult beverages, making it a great space for team parties and family events. It’s worth noting that while Adrenaline Monkey rents space within Lifezone 360, they are not affiliated with Lifezone’s management or marketing (which can be lacking). The Adrenaline Monkey team is proactive, caring, and passionate about creating a positive experience for their patrons.
I couldn’t recommend Adrenaline Monkey more—it’s become an invaluable part of our family’s...
Read moreWe had a blast!! Son is 5 so he’s just barely big enough for most of the stuff and not big enough for the rest. Daughter is 2, so too small for most. They both had a blast in the raised maze thing though. There will be a soft play area for little kids that will be finished in the coming weeks.
I have to say that I was super impressed with the staff. There are lots of staff in bright green shirts who are enthusiastic to help. My 2yo happily ran through the maze thing with a 6’5” kid in tow helping her where she needed it while I watched from below. That same employee helped my son up the curved wall a few times. Super helpful, encouraging, and friendly staff!!
There are genuine ninja warrior courses, climbing walls, and various height warped walls for bigger kids and adults.
They have a cafe and I’m told a liquor license is imminent.
I’d say until the soft play area is finished, it’s best for older kids, but we had a blast anyway!
UPDATE: Had my son’s birthday party here and everyone had a blast! Attentive staff for the party, and lots of experienced staff to help the kids on the equipment. Loved that it wasn’t crazy packed like so many other indoor kids gyms (went to my nephews at a place in Crystal Lake the week prior and it was extremely overwhelming and insane).
Soft play area is open and perfect for littler...
