Listen to me: We need to protect Red Lobster at all costs! Red Lobster used to be so popular, and then it fell away from ratings, and for what? Because people want to eat healthy? I don't get it. Why is there such a stigma surrounding this restaurant? I love everything about Red Lobster and I want everyone to know! The mixed drinks here are delicious and better than any other restaurant bar I have been to. Go for the Mojitos! You will not be disappointed.
I have always lived so far away from a Red Lobster, and I crave my Salmon New Orleans. I always upgrade my vegetable, and I always get the baked potato. The sauce that the salmon is smothered in is the perfect blend of creamy and spicy. It's not too spicy, but it's just enough. I usually upgrade to asparagus, but this time they didn't have it. Instead I got the crispy brussels sprouts and I was just as content with my decision. So delicious. All of it! My mother said her steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. She was just as into her meal and mojitos as I was. This was her first time trying a mojito and I think it's her new favorite over a margarita.
I did notice that the waitress was a little overwhelmed, and it seemed to me like they were a little short staffed. Our waitress was fabulous regardless. Service may have been slow, but there were no mistakes made, and our order came out perfectly. She even went out of her way to find a staff member to make the best mojitos for us!! He was great. Our waitress even took the time to make sure our leftovers were securely packed away and ready for travel. Really, the entire staff was so sweet and accommodating. I will be coming back as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your service!
Also worth mentioning, my mother and I brought home leftovers for my dad to finish off. I transferred the food to an oven-safe glass dish and heated it in the oven at 250 for about 45 minutes. He had no idea it was Red Lobster and commented on how tasty the steak, shrimp, baked potatoes, and brussels sprouts were. When we told him it was Red Lobster, his reaction was the same as mine. We don't understand why this restaurant isn't more popular.
Listen everyone, do not take away any more Red Lobsters. I am sick and tired of driving completely out of my way to get my fix! I also need the stigma of Red Lobster being a high-end place for price-conscious individuals to take a date. It's more than that. It's deliciously epic food! Red Lobster deserves its place as a respected restaurant! If Applebee's and Chili's can exist and thrive, then make room for Red Lobster. Give Red Lobster a chance on your next date night. They also have an app and you can earn discounts on...
Read moreIf McDonalds did seafood, this would be the place. No, strike that. McDonalds has standards. If the state prison system did seafood....Sloppy wait staff, unkempt hair and clothes, long wait times and out of fresh fish- this was only the beginning. I ordered the Ultimate Feast. This consists of a small overdone reheated lobster tail, breaded shrimp that taste like 10W40, shrimp scampi. some crab legs and a baked potato. The crab legs were fine, I suppose from frozen to be sure but not much to screw up. The baked potato was the stand out item. My son ordered a fresh fish entree which we discovered 20 minutes after the order was placed they were out of and my spouse had a lobster dish which I suspect was poured from a jar. Our server couldn't care less about her job, I suppose never realizing people make a choice to drive there to spend north of $100. She took our order, other wait staff refreshed our drinks and others served the food. This was our first experience in the concept of tag team wait staff. I would not have tipped W** B a nickel, if it weren't for the cadre of others that helped get our food to the table. She was there for the order and the check. That's about it. Funny thing is, it's only once the food arrives that you realize great places to eat like 1776, or Duke's or even Taco Bell offer better alternatives than this pit. This was Long John Silvers with...
Read moreHorrible! My boyfriend and I went to red lobster a week after Christmas. Being its after Christmas we had a lot of returning and shopping by the mall. We looked it up and it said they closed at 10. It was 8:45 so we figured we would have at least an hour to sit down and eat something small. We first walked in and a man with a pony tail looked at us and shook his head passing us by. about 5 minutes after standing there a hostess comes up and greets us. On the way to our table an older server looks at the hostess and says, "are you freaking kidding me?" Like it was a problem for us to sit in her section. I was so offended that I told my boyfriend that we were going somewhere else. I did speak to a manager but she only offered good service which I wasn't willing to take that risk. I'm a bartender and have been in the industry 11 years. We may of been there till 9:45 but I would of loved to take care of the server for maybe inconveniencing her. We go to red lobster all the time and spend good money. That was the first and last time I will go there. Something I've taught myself over the years is to not judge the people that walk through the door. She lost out on a great tip and they've lost out on a...
