I have shopped this store alot and selection is awesome, store is clean and organized, but the low rating is due to the customer service. The employees here always seem annoyed or make rude comments to one another loud enough for anyone in the vicinity, insinuating theft ex. that someone should have their bags checked or comments about all the stuff someone didnt want that they will have to restock ect. I myself ran a store for 20 years and I would definitely give correction action notices for the sheer unprofessionalism if I recieved a complaint of this sort. As far as theft is concerned hire a loss prevention person or security. I only say this because a girl was accused of stealing while i was waiting in line and she emptied her bag and didn't seem to have any of the stores items or much of anything in her large purse besides cell, wallet and a few other things and you could see how mortified she was being called out and wrongfully accussed but she handled it with grace because I would have been extremely upset if i were in her shoes! I would probably terminate an employee who wrongfully accussed a customer in front of the entire store! I always had proof before speaking to a customer with video surveillance to back it or it could potentially be a lawsuit for the store, for slander. Anyway I still love the selection here but I wont go out of my way to go here! These were just my thoughts about the last few times I've been at this particular location, and I normally wouldn't even leave a review much less a negative one but my girlfriend I happened to be with said the same thing about the customer service! It wouldn't hurt to have a customer service meeting with your...
Read moreI have been a fan of this particular Goodwill for the last couple of years, ever since we moved to the local area. I felt that the selection of clothing was really good, nice fitting rooms, and VERY clean bathrooms. The home goods/toys/books...everything else pretty much is hit or miss. I do find the prices at this particular location to be a bit high but I've seen that a lot recently in places like these. I'm giving a negative review because our Goodwill's in the state stopped giving out bags which is no big deal because they just use the ones customer's donate with. In the check out line, I had no idea what type of bag my stuff was put into until I got home. I was completely grossed out! It was a USED HOSPITAL bag. I can't believe the employee used it first of all and no one seemed to question it. Who knows where that was?! Needless to say, I washed and scrubbed all my purchases. Guess I need to start bringing my own bags. I still like Goodwill but NOT this particular location. Also, saw quiet a few things being charged up from like Target that you could get...
Read moreI love the eagan goodwills selection. I think they have recently started upping there prices, which for used merchandise is not acceptable in my opinion. Also if you buy ANY furniture there severally vacuum it as they have trouble with bed bugs and scabies. I bought 2 different couches on 2 separate occasions and got scabies BOTH times!! I don't buy furniture from there anymore no matter how cute or good the price. Buying clothes there is fine just wash right away when you get home. They even get new clothes and shoes from target that doesn't get sold at there store so I've gotten 4 or 5 pairs of brand new shoes there. It's also a good place to get second hand name brand apparel. I have gotten a almost new pair of addidas shoes for $8!! And a pair of Gucci tennis shoes for $14!! And they have tons of dvds for 1.99$ each! Not to mention people often find a hidden gem like a vintage dress or couch or something that was very expensive and priced way below what it's worth because the cashiers don't know...
