PLEASE STOP AND READ THIS for your own sake ! It's been a week or more since their WI-FI only connects if standing inside the motel near the elevator on 1st floor entrance to the lobby. Be ready to pay $15 per add.person. Your visitors must show their ID if they visiting you too often or Red Roof people don't like them for any reason. You are not allowed to wait for too long in the lobby area, when you checked out, no matter the reason. Prices are ridiculously high, especially on Friday/ Saturday and sometimes Sunday compared to really nice hotels across the street. You might pay a few bucks more but what a difference. Late evening all prices drops down everywhere as you probably know. If anyone after reading will rate this motel 2 stars and up, then it would be considered rigged or just crazy or obviously having and liking low cleaning standards. Forgive me for being bold and blunt but I am gasping for air after reading some people's positive comments. I spent 2 months here because I had to. I happened to know a lot about this particular place, in and out. I have seen housekeeping employees being yelled at in such a unprofessional way, that is if even yelling is considered ok. Reason: coachroaches owned place, they come Inn but never come Out ! You might not see them if staying for 1 day especially when you have a busy day. But they are everywhere more or less. Especially at night when lights go out, they love to come out to feed. I will post photos for you to see. We still have Covid. And as you know, roaches love dirty places. They also liked my cup of ice tea, my fridge, microwave, bathtub, sink, drawers and of course the bed. If you see little ones, black fast moving bugs they are roaches offspring. Then you also will have medium size and bigger, finally dark copper colored adults. I am so frustrated that this place is still open.
For the past few years I have stayed in Lancaster motels, always being too judgemental but this is it. Now, I tell you that the current rating is out of date. Look at the latest reviews, all of them are negative. So 1 Star would be fair. As customers reviews get older, ratings get higher. And that's because this motel was changed to Red Roof Inn and remodeled. Now, if management would take pride in their work...... But unfortunately this place is run by guys from India including in part housekeeping. Honestly, I am fed up with them infesting all affordable places to stay, small grocery stores even health care where only their attitude is a concern of mine. Cleanliness is not a part of their lives. Avoid this stinky dirty motel. If you are willing pay $250 for a room with Jacuzzi then maybe you'll be satisfied. But again, in this price range Marriot hotel comes to mind. Do yourself a favor, just spend more time researching. It will save you money and...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I was traveling with my young toddler and had reserved a room at this Home Town Studios by Red Roof/Red Roof Inn located 2307 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602 trusting the brand for cleanliness and safety. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was horrified by the unsanitary and unsafe conditions of the room, which were not only unacceptable but posed serious health risks to my child and us.
Here are the specific issues that prompted my immediate departure:
Health and Safety Concerns: The room has an alarming smell. There were flies throughout the room, which is a clear indication of poor hygiene and lack of proper pest control. As a parent, I am deeply concerned about the potential exposure to unsanitary conditions, especially for my toddler, who is more susceptible to illness.
Dirty Bathroom: The bathroom was foul-smelling and the floor was visibly dirty. It was clear that there had been no effort made to clean or sanitize the space adequately.
Hygiene Issues: The toilet paper had been used, and this is entirely unacceptable. In a place where hygiene is paramount, especially with a toddler, these conditions are not only disappointing but also unsafe for any guest.
As a mother, my primary concern is the well-being of my child, and the conditions at the Lancaster, PA location did not meet even the most basic standards for health and safety. This experience has left me questioning the commitment of Red Roof Inn to providing safe, clean, and reliable accommodations for families. I did not stay at the property due to the significant discrepancy between the advertised pictures and the reality of the establishment. The property I encountered was far below the expectations set by the images and descriptions on their website. This felt like a clear case of false advertising, which is incredibly frustrating as a customer.
I strongly believe it is unfair to charge customers for services they do not use, especially when they are misled by misleading promotional material.
They admitted through email that upon looking into my complain that they fall short of their goals and offered me 4,000 membership points for the Red Roof Inn which is equivalent to $40. I paid more than that and they refused a refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS INN! This shouldn't be posted in any third party website as it can also ruin their reputation. This place should...
Read moreWe stayed here 2 nights for the convention. The room seemed fine enough. The first night went off without a hitch. We came back late the 2nd night, and our door wouldn't open. While we were trying to figure it out, the PERSON INSIDE OUR ROOM SAID THEY WERE TRYING TO SLEEP!!!
We went downstairs to the night manager and the first thing he tried to tell me was it wasn't our room. After making him verify the paperwork and check our room keys, he admitted there must have been a mistake and we would have to wait until the morning manager arrived. We asked where were our things, and all he would say is they must have been removed when the room was cleaned but was belligerent with us when we said we needed it now for my roommate's HEART MEDICATION!!!
We were given a temp room with none of our stuff and waited until morning. In the 10 minutes of waiting for the day manager to arrive, the night manager was belligerent with us again for being frustrated and discussing our options if our items were missing. The day manager was helpful when he arrived. Apparently, the people in our room were insistent that our room was there's. The staff conceded and opened the door for them. Upon entering the room, the staff asked if our items in the room belonged to these newcomers. Thankfully, they said no, so the staff BAGGED IT ALL UP and cleaned the room for them.
Some particularly frustrating notes with all of this. Our stuff was within 40 feet of us during the entire time we were arguing with the night manager. What would have happened if the new renters had said, yes that is our stuff? What would have happened if the newcomers had not dead bolted the lock and we just walked in at 2AM in the morning on them sleeping? What if my roommate had had an incident with his heart?
We got a full refund, but only 98% of our stuff back. A jug of water and mouthwash were never recovered.
No matter how tempting the price tag on this place may look, never ever go here. It is not worth it.
P.S. What appears to be their AI response bot replied to this review saying, "On your next stay, should you have any issues while with us, please contact our front desk immediately so we can take care of the issue to ensure you're comfortable." We did, as clearly noted above. Is 0...
