My husband purchased a wedding ring and a second ring (a three stone) ring to present to me on my wedding day. The three stone included two family stones and one purchased stone. He was concerned that I would not like the three stone ring since I had told him I didn't like three stones and Wedding Day assured him that if I didn't like it, we could bring it back for store credit. They PRIDE THEMSELVES on this policy! They advertise a ONE YEAR satisfaction guarantee. My wedding day was June 23rd and I brought the ring in in September. I assumed I would be taken care of since my husband had been assured his purchase had the safetynet of at least store credit. I was quite shocked when I was told that the computer would not let them give me a store credit. The three stone ring was somehow NOT ELIGIBLE for the store credit. I was shocked. My husband only went ahead with the plan for the second ring BECAUSE OF ASSURANCES OF THIS STORE POLICY! They told me the best they could do with this ring my husband paid over $1100 for was melt down the gold and give us about $60. GET THIS: They wouldn't even make an offer on the diamond, only the gold; despite advertising that they buy diamonds. The whole thing was ridiculous. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE NUMBER OF STORE POLICIES THEY DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH!
They didn't even get my wedding ring right. My husband had purchased a certain style in large part because the stone and setting were lower than any other we had found of that style. We were very specific about having the stone just as it was in the display case since we had looked at nearly a dozen ring shops and couldn't find a low enough setting. Unfortunately, when he picked up the ring the center stone was set a great deal higher than the model ring in the display case. We didn't have time to fix it before the wedding. When we brought it in to have it lowered they reset the center stone lower, but OFF CENTER. When they finally reset the stone correctly, they broke one of the thin pieces of gold underneath the setting. It scratched me when I put it on my finger. So, yet again they tried to fix the problem and it doesn't look quite right. The thin piece was just connected back together with a blob of metal so it looks obviously broken and sloppily repaired.
If you are thinking of purchasing anything from Wedding Day Jewelers of Eden Prairie, PLEASE READ MY STORY AND RECONSIDER. I wouldn't want you to loose the kind of money my husband and I did at the hands of their fickle story policies and...
Read moreI can honestly say that they have a customer for life! Our experiences there have all been that good. From the first time we went engagement ring shopping to my most recent experience with an anniversary band, I cannot say enough positive things about Wedding Day, and in particular, about Marie at the Eden Prairie location. (The entire staff at EP is awesome--Susan the manager is amazing too). Back to Marie-- we first met her in St Louis Park where she spent what was likely an hour, maybe two with us just listening, talking and showing us things---giving us ideas. We didn't go to another store that day. No where could have compared. A few weeks later we went out shopping again and this time we hit all the establishments in town. And at all of them, my wife and I felt rushed and sometimes pressured (note that we didn't want a diamond either---which seemingly turned some off). So we called Wedding Day and learned that Marie had transferred to the EP store. We followed her there. My wife told me that Marie was the only person she felt comfortable with. And I would agree. She treated us like family and i'm not just saying that. In fact, I try to give objective criticism with reviews; highlighting the pros and the cons so readers can get some value out of them. But in this case, I have no criticism to offer. That's the truth. And my latest experience--when the ring wasn't perfect and time was becoming a problem (I needed the ring by a certain date) Marie and team took it upon themselves to come up with a wonderful solution that most certainly cost them money. They no doubt delivered---a wonderful anniversary band with time to spare. Like I said---with me they have a very loyal customer for life and I would refer...

When I started this adventure I thought - an independent jeweler would provide the best experience. I would not be just a number. BOY WAS I WRONG. Overpriced and dismissive of my design ideas. I left feeling frustrated and defeated thinking I may not get my custom deign...... but on my way home from that appointment I heard a commercial for Wedding Day Diamonds.
When I got home I went to Wedding Day Diamonds website and sent an email inquiring about custom design work using my own diamonds. BEST DECISION.
Thank you so much! From the very beginning the customer service you provided was outstanding. I really thought customer service was a thing of the past. You never once made me feel bad for "sending it back". You listened and requested the changes. If I was wavering you provided advice without squashing my ideas. CAD drawing after CAD drawing, you stuck by me. You did not hesitate when I decided to scrap the first design and move in a different direction. I believe you truly understood my vision because when the last drawing came in - your comment was "This might be the one." and it was.
There is not one thing about the ring I do NOT like. I keep staring at my hand.
I am so glad the 1st jeweler I worked with was way over priced and I found my way to Wedding Day Diamonds. I don't think I would have ended up with this design if it wasn't for you. You helped me bring my vision out of my head and to a CAD drawing.
Thank you for your time patience and understanding.
Then the actual work - it is amazing. Flawless. the jeweler took the design and created my dream ring. So much attention to the detail and it was done...
