I had one of the most heartbreaking experiences at this barbershop. From the moment I walked in, no one acknowledged us or offered help. I had to repeatedly call out for assistance, and it wasnât until they noticed that my child is autistic that their attitude completely changedâfor the worse. Instead of showing patience or understanding, they acted like they didnât care at all.
When someone finally came over, I sat my son in the chair and explained that he is non-verbal. Without even attempting to cut his hair, the barber immediately said, âI canât do his hair.â When I asked why, he said, âI could injure him.â I told him I was there to assist and that if he didnât cut my sonâs hair, who would? Autistic children deserve the same respect and services as any other child. Instead of trying to accommodate, he and two others started ganging up on me, being outright rude. I was in tearsâjust trying to get my childâs haircut.
What made this even more painful was that I had just left another barbershop where an older white barber literally kicked us out because we are Muslim. I had hoped that coming to this shopâa Black-owned businessâwould mean more understanding and kindness. But instead, once they realized my child was autistic, their treatment was even worse.
To top it all off, the haircut was poorly doneâno proper lining, no real effortâbut they still charged me $37 for it. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and respect was beyond disappointing. No parent should have to go through this. If you have a special needs child, I strongly recommend finding a barbershop that actually cares. This...

I had my most horrible haircut experience at this barbershop with a barber named Bizzie. He completely ruined the hairline on the back of my neck by cutting it way too high, creating a harsh, unnatural look that was incredibly difficult to fix. It looked like a mistake any beginner might makeânot something you'd expect from a professional.
I went back to the shopânot to ask for a refundâbut simply to have him fade or taper the area to soften the harsh line and conceal how far up he had taken it. Instead of owning up to the obvious mistake, Bizzie was defensive and dismissive. He refused to acknowledge what he had done, showing zero professionalism or accountability.
To make matters worse, he behaved so poorly during the second visit that he intentionally clipped my skin with the neck strip while fastening the cloth around my neck. It felt like a petty, passive-aggressive move meant to express his irritation at being called out.
It takes very little to be respectful and correct an error, but that basic level of decency was completely missing here. I wonât be returning, and I strongly recommend avoiding Bizzie if you care about your haircutâor being treated with even a...
Read moreIf you are looking to be ignored and not acknowledged then come here. It is disappointing to see how this place only acknowledges either regular customers or friends. The environment is very unwelcoming. You are waiting a long time even when it's not busy. It's a shame because they do give good haircuts but the customer service is what makes us not want to visit this barbershop anymore. Maybe with us taking our money somewhere else may not make a difference to this barber shop but hopefully they realize and at least look into the customer service they provide. On our last visit we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes and all you would hear is "you got me after this person" and they would take them while they clearly see other people waiting. It's not a pleasant feeling to have when you know you have been waiting for a long period of time and you have not been acknowledged/serviced while others get told to take a seat...
