Joyalukkas Jewelry New Jersey — Attraction in Edison

Updating my review from 5 star to 1 star: I've been visiting & purchasing from this store since many years. I have had no issues here. I've bought wedding chain & Necklace for my wife, first bangle for our baby, gold coins & so on from here at least for $9K USD so far and even have an on-going monthly savings plan with them.

Two weeks ago when I visited this store to buy a 2 Gram gold coin, I had a question to ask one of their staff, who was at the cash counter, substituting a lady staff for few mins, he was doing the billing for me.

I began to ask him a question saying, is there any gift for new year purchase or any on-going scheme. He said if we buy diamond got $1500 we get 1 gram gold or something like that & then I was about to ask, is there no gift for Gold purchase or if there is any such scene for new year. That's all..! (Keep in mind.. In India Joy Alukkas and every single jewelry stores give gifts even for small purchases.)

This person didn't even let me ask him full question and kept telling me with an irritating and attitude face that "Sir, I'm busy now and I cannot talk to you or keep listening to your question; I've left other customers for your billing, there are many people behind you in the queue" etc...

I left with such a disappointment as why did I even visit this store!

If he left other customer for my billing, who am I then? Am I not a customer? or is it because I bought only a 2 gram gold coin that I got this response?

It only takes a matter of time before you lose your reputation. Be mindful of that. People come to Joy Alukkas only because we had good experience in your stores at our native places back in India. Oak Tree street is full of jewelry stores, with other good brands. Be it Tanishq, Malabar or other stores that exist long before you were here.

This guy is either from Tamilnadu or Kerala, in his late 30s or 40s. (Not the other Malayali uncle with specs who is very kind person). Teach this guy some manners, if he is the manager there then Joy Alukkas, NJ should find a...

We had a wonderful shopping experience at Edison Joy Alukkas. Radhika has been a great help, the best one could ask for. She has been very professional and patient in helping us make the best choices when it came to jewelry selection.

Our exchange service was done by Bandhana and I couldn’t help but leave this feedback. We went for an exchange and the waiting time was way too long and it appeared that it was done on purpose (since it’s not a new sale and exchange means the sale is already done, no additional effort to make the customer commit to a purchase). What truly irked me is that we were bounced back and forth between sales representatives while they were busy attending new customers who came after us to the store. I wouldn’t have complained if it wasn’t for my pregnancy related discomfort and my aging mother’s general health issues (varicose veins and age related fatigue). Finally, when they attended us, there was a lot of confusion with billing and I reached the end of my patience.

A store like Joy Alukkas must treat their regular customers with little more respect and courtesy. Having said that, I’m less inclined to go to this store again for jewelry purchase given the bad experience I had with the exchange. I’m DISAPPOINTED with your customer service...

We came to Joy Alukkas for purchase and the sales assistant Bhandana was so good and very helpful to us and showed different designs and gave us the quotes very patiently . We were so impressed with the designs and options and purchased what we wanted to buy and went home with full satisfaction . Today we came again after 4 years for exchange and purchase different items but we misplaced our bills so we called and asked before coming to stores of the options and found out that we can find out all our purchases with our phone number and collect all the information and make exchange as per the current rate available. We met today Manisha the sales staff and she showed us patiently so many designs and gave us the best option and we are so impressed with her service. She stayed with us by sacrificing her lunch break and convinced us for the wonderful deal within the parameters . We are so much impressed by her assistance and decided to do more dealings frequently with Manisha and Bandana.
