It was a very sad day for Me as I went to the park to see the national spring water that I and many people before Me has been drinking is now covered and deemed not to be safe to drink anymore I don't even know if they had the proper health department to test if the water that i myself and older have been drinking for years is in fact not safe there are no legal seal or stamp showing that it's not safe the city just put a steel plant covering our natural spring water we all love to drink for many years or is it a way for the city to gain money by selling our natural spring to a local spring water company just so the citizens can't enjoy our free spring water God has provided to his children of all nations that been around for many Generations i really hate when big corporations always find a way to steal from our nature that's been provided not only for us but for all of God's creatures as well just so the city can gain millions of dollars by selling our Natural Springs to Big corporations just so we the people can't have anything free anymore soon they find a way to charge us for the air we even breathe so for the land that we love will go to the highest bitter and for the right amount of Dollars I hate so much what the city does...
Read moreThis is a nice little county park that is very family-friendly. People come here to walk your dogs, take your children outside, enjoy nature, and walk along the lake. There is a marked paved path circling the lake, basic restroom facilities during daylight hours, basketball courts, a covered Pavilion where people dance, and of course the lake. No boats are allowed , and no swimming allowed. People are allowed to fish with a state license. There are supposedly Bass in lake although I have never seen one. There are trout but the trout are notoriously difficult to catch in this Lake oh, but it is fun trying. There are also catfish. The problem with using bait in this lake is it is overpopulated with thousands of very small sunfish who voraciously attack all types of natural bait before your target species can find them. Still it's close by and a nice place to spend a couple hours. Also it is adjacent to an elementary school so there is a strong police presence and frequent patrols by...
Read moreWow, this is a large park! We have not even had the chance to check out the entire park as there are trails that go off into other sections.
However what we did see was amazing as they have several tennis courts, several basketball courts, and ice rink, and even several bridges to walk over the water, as well as a small island from which we saw people fishing. 🎣
The park is located right across a parking lot from the school as well. So if your kids go to school here it's great to be able to walk them right to the park to burn off some energy.
The basketball courts and tennis courts looked new and well maintained, although it was hard to tell in what shape the ice rink is in. Shockingly it looked like all the ice had melted in August. 😲😁
There's plenty of parking here as well, just drive slow as there's a lot of kids around, obviously. And make sure to hold your kids hands when crossing the parking lot for safety. 🦺
