This is really my favorite spot in the mall. For the longest there was only one halal option (overpriced too) when it came to food and I would go to Menlo Mall often. When I tell you the food is so good believe me, I go all the way to the mall to go there and get back home. The butter chicken naan roll never gets old. The mango lassi? Excellent. I had the chicken platter two days ago and it was so much food that I ate it for dinner and lunch the next day. The only reason why I’m writing this review is because I googled the spot to see if it was open right now because I’m craving it right now. I really don’t make reviews like that so believe me it is that good. I also had the chicken 65, the wings and naan bread that was so fresh, I loved everything. I’m personally not a fan of the samosa because I didn’t know it had peas but that is just a personal preference. Definitely stop by when you go to the mall, everything is halal and fresh!! I spend between $6 and $14 when I go there, and I spend $14 when I am really greedy just so you...
Read moreThe Indian Plate at Menlo Park Mall is not too shabby for Indian food in a food court. I can't tolerate spice, however I know having the Chicken Tikki Masala is more flavorful than spicy. It's not food I'm used to but having it with rice to coat the hot feeling in my mouth I can try sometimes too. I also love basmati rice with the spices to make it flavorful.
We have been here twice. Each time I have gotten the Chicken combo platter. I get Chicken Tikki Masala, Basmati rice, and chickpeas. The portions get filled up in the box. I don't like having sauce coated on the basmati rice and will tell the server to have it away from it when it gets poured.
Hot and has a kick to my taste buds, I like this combination and gets very filling. Gobi 65 are cauliflower bites. It can be in your combination platter or a side dish.
Service is friendly. You pay before you get your takeout order. All payments are acceptable, plenty of open seats...
Read moreIt is entirely beyond me how such a great place has such low reviews. I live 30 minutes away from this mall, and I'm considering returning just to eat at The Indian Plate. The prices are the most shocking part. Only $8 and some change for a butter chicken roll? And their plate options aren't expensive either! That's a steal in this day and age. They're doing God's work with these prices.
I wanted to hold off on my review until I actually ate the food. It's REALLY good. I have ate at many Indian restaurants because I love their cuisine. The flavor of the butter chicken roll I ordered is super authentic. Hearty, spicy, flavorful.
This is all and all a fantastic place. The cashiers wasn't the most cheerful, but he got the job done and did it well. I genuinely cannot wait to come back here.
For food this quality, they could get away with selling their rolls foe $12-13, but they keep it at a low price and I respect them...
