The last time we went here a few months ago, the go karts took an incredibly long time to wait in a relatively short line. Their reasoning for the wait was that they were training new employees, which I suppose is reasonable. The bowling was abysmal. First, there were no bowling balls in our lane, so we assumed that something had gone wrong with the machine, but no, other customers had just taken the balls from the lane. When people the next lane over ended their game, we went and got the bowling balls from their lane, since there were no employees around to ask to get some. Now comes the real kicker, the pins are attached to strings which, when knocked down, get pulled up and reset by these strings. This system works terribly because our pins kept getting wrapped around each other and not resetting properly. We ended our game early because we were fed up waiting for the pins to reset. The mini golf was pretty cool because there was no employee at the counter, so people were just grabbing a club and ball themselves and going for a round of golf. Now, there was no sign indicating the mini golf was closed, and the employees behind the main counter just stood there and watched this go on for well over an hour (that's just how long we were paying attention). Not great, but not terrible either. The attractions are a bit overpriced being 8 dollars per round per person (mini golf, roller coaster, bowling, and go karts). We'll probably be back because my nephews seem to really...
Read moreWe recently celebrated our little one's birthday at Malibu Jack's. Even despite the bad weather, the building was packed. The price for the party was incredibly reasonable. There was a bit of a disfunction in getting things checked in for the party, but I'm writing that off as new location jitters as the facility had only opened a few weeks prior and am sure that the process will get smoother as the staff get their footing. The rides and various events (laser tag, VR, mini-golf, etc) were well layed out and operated. They also had a wide variety of games to play. Several of the claw machine games were "down" and unplayable, however.
There was a staff photographer taking a small group of people throughout the facility. The photographer asked other patrons to step away from games that they were playing in order to photograph their group "pretending" to play the games. This happened directly to us and we also saw the photographer do it to several others during our time there. We found this to be incredibly rude and off-putting.
The prize claim area has a fair amount of selection with typical "ticket" pricing for what you would expect. I'm unsure if we caught them during the shift change, but there appeared to only be 1 person working the prize desk with a decent sized line built up to exchange tickets for prizes. The line did go relatively quick and I commend the staff member running the prize claim for handling checkouts as...
Read moreWe took a four and six year-old girl for a night out. When we arrived At 4:15, they told us the special we wanted did not start until five. This is fine but I would recommend changing the advertisement because it reads like you just cannot order the pizza until 5 PM but all the rest is available. We left and came back after the 45 minutes and got in without await. my biggest problem and what I was most disappointed about was the large play area was not open. This is what we were looking forward to doing with the girls because it’s very age-appropriate. I understand it is a new business and I was concerned it would not be open so I contacted them ahead of time before we made the 45 minute trip from out of town. They assured me it would be open that evening and once we arrived, it was not. if I had not made the effort to contact the business and make sure it was open, I would be more understanding. However, I felt like I was paying for something the girls were not getting to do and had I known we may...
