I will eventually make my way back into this establishment. It will not be right away though. I should lead with this experience could be my own fault. I called the day before to set up an appointment for my son to get his haircut and felt pretty secure that I had an appointment set for the next day. When we showed up I was met with a very odd maybe even confused look. One guy asked me if I had an appointment and I told him yes I was told kind of an odd time 4:35. Which did not help the odd look that I was given. He checked his phone and with another employee (I pretty sure the second guy was who i talked to the day before),Clearly my appointment was not taken, was not taken down correctly or my name was put in wrong or a combination of all. Now I'm sure they where busy when I called (what it sounded like) maybe I should have booked online (not even sure I could). Given the weather, school and after school activities we plan our days around appointment's. I totally understand that's my issue and not theirs but still. Anyway, from the haircuts I saw being done they looked great and I hope to be able to edit this review twords the positive in the future. For now though I will make a appointment at different place farther away and hope for the best. Oh, I want to make sure that I'm completely fair here I was told to come back in an hour and asked if that was okay which if you don't have space or time that is probably the most appropriate way to handle the situation. That said listening to the conversation between the employees I was not set at ease and really did not feel like that was the appointment made for us (figured someone else had that appointment) but again the name could have been put in wrong so I guess...

I went to schedule my appointment with Tawfique this morning and realized he's not on the schedule. I reached out to him personally and confirmed he's not there anymore.
What I initially liked about this shop is that it wasn't super ghetto like lots of others. It was relatively nice by comparison. But... maybe 3 or 4 months ago, possibly longer, I came in and the front door was boarded up. Someone vandalized it. Okay, you have to board it up until it gets repaired. But the door is still not fixed and it looks terrible. There's no excuse for that. I mean, come on, even "Chop It Up" would fix their door.
When your barbers leave because they expect the owner to maintain the shop and the standard, and he doesn't do that, there's a pretty big problem. It's usually indicative of someone losing sight of their initial plan and vision for becoming a small business owner. Unfortunately with growth, typically money becomes King and everything else is secondary. Employees and customers aren't the driving force anymore.
So, I salute you Tawfique. You are a principled man. I hope that the owner comes to his senses and stops being a tightwad cheapskate and fixes the door. Otherwise you might want to schedule an appointment with Chop It Up instead.

Read moreWhere do I even start with this place? I walk in to get my haircut at 9:30am because that is the time I scheduled my appointment. This was only suppose to be a 30 minutes appointment, but it was looking like it was going to take a lot longer. 5 minutes go by, 10 minutes go by, 15 minutes go by, 20 minutes go by and then I get acknowledged that I have been waiting for a haircut. The response is the best part, "I am almost done here, he should have scheduled an hour long appointment." I don't see how that is the customers problem when you are talking about getting drunk and God knows what else. I guess that's their form of "Locker room talk," but I found it rude and unprofessional. This was my first experience with Prime Fades and it will definitely be my last. If you are looking for a quick haircut and good conversation, look somewhere else. If I could give negative stars this would be the place I...
