This could be a great place. Unfortately the owner ruins it. Unless for some reason he is very fond of you, then he goes above and beyond for those people. The name “Eight Ball Cafe” alone is bizzar as there is not a pool table in sight.

I have eaten there a couple of times to try to give him the benefit of the doubt but the fact of the matter is that he is entitled, rude and greedy. Just look at his personal responses to other negative reviews here.

He tends to cut his staff, leaving no other option than for him to be your server. If he inputs your order incorrectly, he passes the blame onto you, that you ordered your food incorrectly. Each time I have been there he gets distracted by the table(s) of people he is trying hard to impress and ignores the food that is ready to be served waiting in the window. Making what could be a good pizza, have a soggy bottom crust and no longer hot. He does not apologize or try to correct his mistake, instead he is rude, in denial about his customer service and still charges you full price.

As much as I don’t want to support more money into his pocket, I would possibly return if he were to employ proper staff that know how customer service works and how to correctly send an order to the kitchen, then promptly deliver to a table. That would then leave him all the time in the world to wonder the restaurant in search of chatting and impressing his “friends” at other tables….but that’s where the greed comes in. He wants the money to himself.

Update: In his response to my review questioning the purpose behind my comments. Making a situation right after a mistake has been made would be the right way to handle customers. Instead he gladly tells them they are wrong, to leave his establishment and never return. Heaven forbid you admit your wrong doing and make amends to build a positive relationship and ensure returning customers. He has the attitude that if you are in anyway unhappy with your service, then to...

I could smell great food outside - and it was! Affordable food, great service, super clean restaurant. This is a great addition to downtown everett.

Wait staff: Service is great, immediately greeted & drink arrived within 5 mins (probably less).

The menu is awesome. There are a lot of choices. Including some Greek options - yum. Went with the pizza. Reason being is that they have a spectacular looking pizza oven that caught my eye. The pizza was incredible and the ingredients were deffinayely fresh. The pricing for the pizza in comprable to MOD. Menu is SUITABLE FOR QUICK LUNCH or long night dinner.

The atmosphere: there is a spot for every occasion. I had a more private spot for doing business during lunch. See myself hanging out with friends in the front near the bar or enjoying dinner with my wife in a booth. Looking forward to making reservations for UFC 230.

The Owner: Pleasantly surprised to be approached by the owner. He asked if I was happy with my food and service. We had some small talk. He wanted to know about me which was very nice. He was very warm and welcoming. You can tell he is passionate to see his restaurant succeed.

Final thoughts: This spot hits all cylinders. Hope they bring pizza by the slice for those days I can't break from work. Can't wait to gather up some friends and enjoy some drinks. They had a nice selection of...

First off the owner is a very nice man. There's only a couple of us having dinner/late lunch. And he was running around, making sure everyone had everything that they needed. But he had a smile on his face the entire time. Very friendly and very service-oriented. I ordered the gyro, the only thing is the pita bread could have been a little softer because it was kind of cracking on me and falling apart by the end. But other than that the meat was well seasoned and pretty tender. All of the leafy greens were nice and fresh had a good crunch to him even the spinach. (I think it was spinach lol). In the sauce had a slight sweetness to it but was really savory. They had light music playing in the background it seemed to be the greatest hits of anything from the 60s to the 90s. The place looks pretty well kept. Bathroom May been a little scuffed, but it is a bar lol. But the seating area including a new one is really well kept. It has a nice style to it as well. Apparently they will be having live music here pretty soon. Does have a really nice Pizza oven, almost makes me wish I would have gotten one Pizza to try it out. That'll be for next time.

All in all I really enjoyed the hours that I had spent here. And that owner is...

Looking for a real, handcrafted 🍕pizza, made with the highest quality ingredients, many toppings made in house? Or how about a gourmet fresh made to order sandwiche or salad? Eight Ball Cafe in Everett, WA on 2727 Colby Ave is the place to go to. They provide Dine-in, take out & delivery. Dinning in, you can enjoy a wide range of beverages, including a full bar to complement any enree you order.  Yes, they do take reservations & offer indoor & outdoor dinning. The menu is extensive, the food & personal service is exceptional. This is a family owned & operated restaurant, not a franchise or chain.  Come on over experience food the way it should be, wonderful! Rachid Ayouni made our table feel right at home, like we were family. The Personal Pan Pizzas are 5 Star! Everything is fresh & made on site. Excellent selection of beer, with tasters to help you decide which beer will match your thirst. 8 Ball Cafe is a must go to place every time we are in Everret.

Went here to watch the MMA fight the other day. As it was maybe 1 of 2 places in the area showing it. It was $40 minimum each person, first come first serve. Or you could've bought a table ahead of time. Funniest part was when they closed the windows as the fight started and they were covered so people couldn't see inside. Also idk who they had taking orders but he wasn't playing around. If you didn't know what you wanted immediately he would go to the next tables. I just thought that was very unpleasant as if your going to make people pay $40 a person you better act accordingly. So safe to say service was unfriendly and rushed. Food was okay. Nothing to write home about as my pizza was burnt up and had to buff my bill with appetizers that were decent. They do have a nice lil beer selection.
