Mary Siah Recreation Center — Local services in Fairbanks

The Mary Siah Rec Center has been a great meeting place for those of all ages and demands. Though it is not as big as newer public pools it offers amenities that make it stand out. It offers a pool big enough to host your birthday party or event, it has a workout room on the second floor with a wide variety of equipment ready to use (its also neat that it overlooks the pool through the glass walls), a Jacuzzi and sauna for a little relaxation, and rooms for business meetings or events if so desired. Mary Siah is notable for being the only public pool in the Fairbanks North Star Borough that is fully equipped with safety equipment in aid for our elderly...

So glad for a place I can go to use a sauna without a membership! I like that there are 2 shower heads right outside the sauna, next to the large hot tub. There are also water aerobics classes that my Senior Citizen Mom comes to 3 times a week. My mother-in-law lives in a dry cabin and comes here to take showers and warm up in the hot tub. I hope there aren't talks again of shutting it down - it would be devastating to many different demographic groups in the population of Fairbanks. Please keep...

So the lady's are ok but tall balding guy is the rudest person I've every encountered for a month we been get towels for showers since we are from out of town WORKING we come in and figured we would get towels they gave us a kitchen towel then as we are getting ready for our showers the guy comes in with towels asks if we were volunteers from some company we said no and he took the towels away and said bring your own like really??? So I brought my services...
