The bowling alley is not what it used to be. The older lady that works there is beyond rude with zero customer service skills. They’ve changed the pricing for parties to by the hour and even if the balls get stuck and you have to run up to the front and then wait for the guy in the back to return your balls it counts against your hour. Our game stopped in the 8th frame but was not returning our balls almost every single time, so we asked to get moved lanes, well that lane was the same. When asking the lady if she can let us finish the last two frames since A)we didn’t have score totals and b) at least 20 minutes was waiting for ball return and we would’ve been done with our games she proceeded to argue about how there’s nothing she can do without charging more to finish. I’ll never return and highly don’t recommend especially since we weren’t compensated and the lady made it seem like it was impossible to let us finish the game however after proving my point we were able to...
Read moreI love this place ! We are visiting from Alabama. This is our go to place when we have free time and need to unwind. Ed at the counter is amazing :) I’ve never been anywhere that someone has been as helpful as he has been. He definitely has made the experience top notch. He has been nothing but nice, accommodating and patient Lol . And I value his tips and feedback !!! Also to the girl named Stephanie :) when I met her she was the girl to girl conversation I needed :) super sweet ! I like how the bowling alley is set up, the food, billiards, drinks and the people that work here. We go home in a few days and this is going to be the one place I wish we had back home. No offense but there just isn’t a lot to do in this town. I think this is a solid place to come hang out laugh and have some much needed fun :) P.S thank...
Read moreI came to this place 2 days ago to apply for a job and to bowl. I got to meet the alley owner (Doreen Holan) who was very nice. She even let me use 2 lanes and bowl by league rules by switching back and forth between the 2 lanes after each frame for no extra charge. It was $13.00 for 3 games (not including shoe rental.) I thought that that was pretty cheap for Alaska. I am hoping to meet an employee named Norma Herrera-Holloway whom I messaged on Facebook Messenger.
The only cons that I have with this place are that it is a little run down, but many places seem to be like that in Alaska and it might be hard for amateurs, little kids, or people who just aren’t very good at bowling to bowl here as the lanes don’t...
