: I am extremely upset about what happened to me in your store yesterday. I went to the location in Fairfield Ohio and was helped by the store manager no less. His name was Shane and I had brought in 4 games to trade toward DBZ: Kakarot. I told him before he scanned them though that I wanted the digital edition and I was wondering if I would have to come back in to pick up the code as I don’t live on this part of time. I explained I wanted to pay the whole amount off today. He said that I would have to come back to “pick up my code for the game” I scoffed and said but I am going to pay it all off, why would I need to come back here to get what amounts to 1,s and 0’s. To which he replied “Well you could fall us and if we have time we might give it to you” This was the first issue, what kind of customer service is this? “If you have time?!” I have been a manager for retail stores for many years and know you would never tell a customer that, even if that’s the case it just sounds very bad. Well I told him I wanted to get the 20% more for the games since I was trading them towards DBZ and it was the offer you all we’re running. He quickly told me “Oh nope, that doesn’t work on digital games” at this point I was extremely upset because he was doing everything he could to not help me so I left, to which he replied very snarkly “Have a wonderful afternoon sir” Now here’s why I feel discriminated against as a black man, I looked online and read the fine print for this offer and there is no mention of digital being excluded. It just says you need to preorder the game. So after calming down I went to another Gamestop and was helped within 5 minutes. He took my games, I received the 20%, and this is the best part HE GAVE ME THE DIGITAL CODE!! It was printed right on the receipt. He also said that the code was going to be on the app if I lost the receipt. So my question is why didn’t this store manager at the previous store just do this for me? Instead of helping me he basically made excuses why he could not. I am extremely upset and my wife and I are very angry over this as the only common denominator here was that I was a black man and Shane who was a white store manager just decided to not help me yet at the other store a regular employee was able to get me in and out within 5 minutes! Read moreI came to this store to sell a Xbox console and I called before arriving asking what to bring in to qualify for selling it to them he told me the items and I brought the console to the store. The worker then said I was missing an hdmi cord which wasn’t said when asked over the phone which led me misinformed. I then went back to get my hdmi cord and bring it in with the Xbox and the worker began making excuses as to why he can’t accept it. We confronted him about what he said over the phone and I caught him in multiple lies trying to make an excuse to get me to leave, his excuse was it was too late too runt tests on the Xbox but he could’ve just informed me of that over the phone or when I was present in person the first trip I made there without the hdmi.
