Mountain Sun Arts — Attraction in Fairplay

Drove through Fairplay a couple days ago since my husband is a huge South Park fan. We weren’t expecting to stay for very long because it’s off season and not a lot of places were open. But luckily this gem of a place was open and we’re so glad we went inside. The store itself is beautiful… filled with truly exceptional pieces. That alone is enough to just stop in. But what was really appreciated was how kind and personable Brion was. He took the time to really talk to us and you can just tell how much he loves what he does. He recommended a few places for us to visit outside of Breckenridge and was so caring when telling us to be careful driving the Hoosier Pass since it’s still a little snowy. What was just supposed to be a pit stop turned out to be a marvelous shop with genuine human connection- and that’s a rarity these days. Would rate higher if possible. This store is so sick. The art and vibe is just super cool and Brion the owner of the shop is a legend. Not only is the man 6-3 185 with a 6 pack (going on an 8 pack if he keeps up his pilates) he has the freshest 69 Corvette you ever saw and drives it like he stole it. Amazingly fun store, the whole town is extremely inviting and super welcoming to me and my girlfriend during our visit. Can't recommend the store enough and can't say enough kind words about Brion. Definitely check out the store if you're in the area and expect to spend a few bucks because the art is very cool and if you're a fan of art at all, there will definitely be something youre interested in...

If you are traveling through Fairplay, you absolutely need to stop here. The uniqueness of this shop is off the chart. 35 local artists all living within minutes of this place pour their heart and soul into everything you see...The shops owner" Brion" is very passionate about every piece and knows its story.
