So, to begin with, it is important to note how snobby Northern New Mexicans are about "our definition" of Mexican food. We believe that is the standard by which all other Mexican food must be judged. With that disclaimer out of the way, this was a different Mexican food for me. Chips and salsa was presented as a black mole. Sorry about the spelling I ordered the shrimp fajitas. Well done dish with green and red bell peppers and onions. Seasoning could have been a tad better. Road trip so iced tea was the preferred beverage. Fresh and cold. (Back to expectations of a Norteno). No sopapillas? Think more like coastal Mexico. This institution is quartered in an old hotel that now doubles as staff housing. Interesting interior that has seen a number of "architectural visions". Could use just a touch of direction, but still serves it's purpose. Thank you gents for a nice respite...

I'm glad others seemingly had a great experience here. That was not our experience. The salsa was so bad we wouldn't eat it. The color was also unappealing. (Picture included) We ordered drinks twice (they forgot them the first time) and we're unimpressed with them when they arrived. To be fair, they were out of the first two drink options we chose on the menu, so it was as if we had to order them three times. We ordered an appetizer of nachos with chicken. The chips were burned, the remaining ingredients simply unflavorful. Not bad, just bland. We chose not to continue to the main course. My husband was in the hospital for two months, his colon had to be cut because he was food poisoned here. I’m a certified chef I called the food department to visit them, raw and cooked were handled wrongly. My husband and one friend had the steak the other man had the shrimp all the sudden the friends my husband all were sick before they hit the house on Alma. Diarrhea, vomit, and fever. I immediately took my husband to the ER but because of the storm the doctors and staff were short then Christmas came around and no doctors still, new year and still only the doctors that didn’t vacationed.
