Silver Scoop Creamery — Restaurant in Fairplay

My family and I went to Silver Scoop Creamery this past weekend. My 7 year old autistic son pulled the fire alarm in the middle of their rush hour time on a Saturday (there was no fire). The shop owner/manger could have been really angry at us and him (as some of the other customers were pretty annoyed about the loud alarm) but the manger/owner was so forgiving and kind to us and my son. Her grace and kindness in handling the situation was truly exceptional.

The ice cream was also excellent and extremely well priced for the size and quality. The vintage register and other hardware were beautiful.

This place is absolutely adorable. I love the antique vibe of the decor and the employee uniform. And the desserts are amazing. Our first time visiting, my husband ordered a brownie sundae and it was, without a doubt, the best and prettiest sundae I've ever had in my life. It was so good we had to go back the next day for more treats, and also got some ENORMOUS sticky buns to save for breakfast the next day. Do yourself a favor and visit this fantastic ice cream shop! I saw they also serve lunch, though we didn't have lunch on either...

The store has some unique and delicious flavors BUT depending on the person who makes your dessert the amount varies greatly even when we ordered the same portions. (Try to avoid the younger female with the long blond hair. She scoops the smallest portions. Very disappointing and we went there twice with our group. Avoided going again because of the inconsistencies in the portions that were very obvious but we didn't want to be "Karens" so we just bought a tub of ice cream at the local grocery store and made brownies at our...
