Worst retail experience ever! :( I would give zero stars if I could. I took in bag of designer boys clothing, laundered, excellent condition, no wear or stains and asked for a quote and told the employee I had never done this before so I needed some guidance on how consignment shops work. I was kind and tried to exchange common courtesy chat with her but got no response - I was shocked at her lack of basic courtesy. WELL, she was condensing, rude and turned around and ROLLED her eyes at another employee!!!! REALLY? She then said she would look at them, then sat them aside and started helping other people who came in after I did - some with clothing for her to look at and some checking out. We waited and waited and then my friend asked her why we were waiting so long and she said "you can leave or shop the store or whatever and come back if you want because we may not have the time to look at them now" so then we asked her why she had not told us this since we mentioned we didn't know how all this consignment stuff worked and she just smirked and looked us up and down (not kidding)and said "sorry". I simply said we would look around the store while we waited and she said that was fine and we did shop some but ended up waiting for a looooonnnnggg, long time then when she finally got around to the clothing she offered $1 each for almost every piece. One dollar for designer name clothing (in excellent condition) that cost as much as $50 or more at normal retail! I know they have to make a profit but that is ridiculous. The whole experience was completely asinine and a waste of time and the employee was a total jerk to put it bluntly. I politely thanked her for her time and said I would just keep selling them on Ebay as I received around $20 plus for each piece there. She never thanked me or said anything else and walked away without a nice word to us. If these clothes were not the kind of thing they sell then she could have at least glanced at them when we first came in and told us this so we would not waste our time. I mean, come on! So unprofessional. NEVER SHOP HERE if you want to be treated with some respect or dignity. The staff are snobby, rude, not helpful or kind at all! Ā Ā Ā Read moreI started shopping here a few months ago and I really like the store and the selections. Today I decided to sell my children clothes and it didnāt go the way I thought it would. I got there a little before 5pm and was told it would take 30 minutes. I was ok with that so I just looked around the store and picked up things I liked. 30 mins had passed and I needed to leave. I gave 2 different phone numbers I could be reached at. I received a call at 7:30 saying I could back to the store. When I arrived I was surprised to see they only wanted a few things out of the big bag I took in. The cashier told me the price for the things in the blue tote and I said there was much more. She really didnāt know but she said āOh I think the other items were stainedā another employee came up and sat my big bag on the counter and said these are the pass items. I didnāt know what that meant so she said the items we will pass on. In my head I was confused because I know none of my items had stains on them and all is in excellent condition. I even had a few brand new items in there that still had tags on it. I was so shocked I didnāt get the items I picked up while walking around (I going back for those items because they were really cute) it was right before closing so I said Iāll come back tomorrow.
I took the bag home and looked at each piece 1 by 1 and found no stains. Before I took the bag to the store I went to the laundromat to wash and dry them. I donāt know how items are examined and I was not looking to get a ton of money for used clothes but I think they should have been looked at throughly. The items I have are from Gap, Nike, Old Navy, Childrenās Place etc. 9/10 I was going to take what I was offered and spend it right back in the store.
Also I had a pair of tan boots that really had marks on them from my daughter coloring on them. I noticed the pink coloring when I was headed to the store and didnāt have anything to wipe them off with BUT somehow those boots were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst experience on Sunday I went to pick up a bag of items I had no longer use for. Went in to pick up was told by the cashier/manager they would offer $70 I then said ok. After that she said im sorry its $50 then said $30 that being said I said ok thought about it. for $30 I could probably give it to somone in need. I asked for my items back. The "cashier/manager " got upset angry said that she had already completed the transaction. That because of me it was going to show she gave me $30 I have manager experience and know all transactions are different. Also know that paper work can be fix. No need to get angry at a customer for not knowing how to do there job! Something the owner should work on. I then was told by the angry manager cashier. I should of thought about what i wanted to do before she completed the transaction. I said well i change my mind and would like my items back I said im sorry can i have my stuff back 4 time asking for my stuff the manager throws a large bag at me . By this time its 10 minutes to close. She lock the door while i was standing there then while I walked to the door it was locked asked if she could open it was told by the angry manager to open it my self even the other girls that worked there just looked shocked so for the owner to say this is a misunderstanding is kinda out of line train ur ppl to do there job ! customer service is not a misunderstanding or not knowing how to do ur job you apologize and go on something that was not said.
